???
While it is true that I havent stayed in touch and updating the OP (seeing as I dont play this game anymore and when I tried to ask for help to update/complete the guide not much interest was shown) there shouldnt be inaccurate stuff there. If anything its outdated coz almost all the info is based on SSF4 so they dont have AE/2012 specifics.
well i was told it was outdated and highly inaccurate.
sorry i’d help but i dont have a pen
=P
Dont worry, Juri is 8:2 Vega.
ezpz.
just wanted to thank the OP for making a shitty thread title that actually deterred me from studying a sub character for a year
Goodbye
Wont be miss.
Dont let the door hitcha where the good lord splitcha.
No you cant have cab fair, get out of here before my wife comes home, trick.
look up the definition for deterred and then pick up a workbook on grammatical tense please. Maybe even one on reading comp if there’s a sale.
Oh snap!
My fault. you right.
But is a title Of a thread really gonna keep you from learning a character?
Did he not like lesbians?
Maybe he didn’t like the color purple.
**ADVANCED JURI TACTICS. USING DIVE KICK TO YOUR ADVANTAGE. **Okay Juris and baby Juris alike it’s time for Juri 101 advanced tactics. This will be a short refresher on things Juri can do with it. Today I’m gonna go over the usage of regular dive kick, it may be new to you or the same old same old; nonetheless let’s go over it. I’ll leave it up to kail to cover ex dive kick tactics.
Regular dive kick is more or less used to punish or cover space in a quick amount of time (usually after a forward throw)
How to use it more purposefully…first off realize what dive kick does. ^ this above is all you need to begin to create other avenues to use the move to your advantage.
IA dive kick is be far Juri’s best whiff punish and part of her advance gameplan. IA dive kick sets you up for stock fireball, pinwheel, ex pinwheel, mix up in fse or u2.
IA to avoid fireballs and close space on opponents such as guile. <=====================
Using IA to avoid air to air.
IA is not only great to whiff punish and set up extra damage but it can also be used to avoid or bait air to air jumps. You jump up the opponent jumps up to meet you in the air and you IA dive kick and whiff to avoid them. The opponent jumps and commits to the jump and sets you up for trip guard or anti air. It is very vital to use this to bait or get away from a possible air grab. It works best on characters with a super jump (Ibuki and C.viper) I usually use IA hk dive kick because of the speed and the distance it allots you so you don’t eat a random cross up. If the opponent neutral jumps you do run the risk of eating a nj. attack. I suggest all Juris try this out to see if it works out for you. It’s the best way to test your opponents reactions or annoy the hell out of them as you run away with the life lead.
That is all for today Juris! Hope this gives you some food for thought. Good luck out there!
Bad advice vs Guile. You dont dive kick vs Guile. His recovery is the best in the game.
Hey, just wanted to apologize. I’ve been a little jumpy on the boards since sfxt came out. I shouldn’t have jumped down your throat. I was clearly in the wrong.
why would you dive kick after a forward throw if you can safe jump after 2 dashes?
ia dive kick is not her best whiff punish at all. for starters, you get minimal damage, a techable knockdown and no real spacing advantage. not to mention you’re risking execution error.
ia dive kick doesn’t go over fireballs at all and using normal dive kicks to do it is just stupid, unless the opponent is punishable. if they move while you dive kick you’re not going to get your desired spacing, you build virtually 0 meter for doing it etc… better off just store cancelling if you can’t punish the fireball.
not sure why you would just randomly jump in either and if you’re going to, i’d like to think you’re doing it when the opponent can’t react, thus giving absolutely no reason to bait an air to air.
why would you use an unsafe move if you have the life lead? lol… better yet, why would you want to even test someone’s reactions if you’re sitting on one?
ia or tk dive kicks are only good for delayed tech traps, and if your opponent doesn’t tech and blocks it you’re -2 so you can’t press anything after it or you’ll get beat out.
this advice is about as good as telling other juri players to use low forward (c.mk) after a store on block. 90% of the videos i see people are still doing it… store is -1 on block and low forward has 6f startup, there’s a myriad of ways you can lose just for trying things like this, including reversal supers and ultras lol.
sorry to burst your bubble pal, but juri’s dive kick is only good for punishing certain fireballs or using as a delayed tech trap and that’s that.
\ Thanks for the input. You bring up some great points. I figured at the time it might be something people could consider, but in the scheme of things risk and reward are weighed too heavily on risk.
btw, i was playing against a good Juri today while i was using Adon and i tried to do a aerial EX Jaguar kick to finish him off and take the first round, but he was able to stop it with a jumping forward mp~hp~ex pinwheel.
so j.mp stops EX jaguar kick cold. i’m mentioning if that info isn’t here in this thread already.
Was the juri already in the air using j.mp or did the juri do the j.mp on reaction. I’m pretty sure if she tried on reaction ex jag-tooth would win.
Anyway, next to adon on my character hate list is cammy! This bitch is fucking crazy dumb.
nope. on reaction. his reaction was really good but remember i did a in-air EX jaguar kick. so he had enough time to beat it with j.mp with good reaction.
don’t get us started on cammy. the only thing i can come up with against cammy is zone her in the beginning with unheld fuhajins, but once she gets in turtle like crazy and wait to throw her after attempted spiral arrows or her dive kicks coz her cannon spike, dive kick, and s. arrow beat everything juri has, including her U2.
and choose fse. don’t bother choosing U2.
oh and pray for the cammy user to be careless and impatient.
pray
