jump straight up? since its a grab, i can’t block it right? can i counter with a pinwheel?
EX pin, tiger knee dive kick should also work.
At close range, Ex Pin, TK Dive, U2
At long range, Jumpback Hk into full combo
MK also always works (far MK has its grab box on enough distance, close MK is completely throw immune)
Worst case scenario you can always just jump out of it; even if you don’t land a punish he just burned his ultrabar for naught.

i once U2 a Oni player that launched an ultra fireball at me, but i was right up in his grill when he launched it and Juri’s ultra 2 actually ducks a ultra fireball. as long as your close enough and do it imediatelly after oni’s ultra fireball close up animations. i’m sure you guys already know that. i’m just mentioning for the lurkers.

yunno what gives me the most trouble during online matches? other than lag?
cross ups.
i get murdalized by cross ups. juri doesn’t have any normals to stop those cross up shenanigans.
i tried using close hp…and yeah you hit your opponent, but you get hit too.
nothing else works except crouching mk, which ducks it completely of course but, its dangerous since she’ll most likely be kicking the wrong way and she’ll be wide open from behind by getting stuck in those animations.

crouching mk ducks everything vega throws at you. you can also dash duck some of his specials.
ex divekick while jumping away as he dives.
as for bison. ultra 2 his ass when he teleports…either when he teleports to or away from you. teleport animations gets him stuck and wide open for your ultra 2.

On a knockdown its best to block with Juri anyway because her wake up is ass. If they mistime their jump you could dash forward/backdash and risk a option select from the opponent. Ex counter works well if you see their actual cross up move but if you ex counter on wake up it can be baited with a empty jump, mistimed cross up(it didnt hit).
If you can auto correct your cr.mp or even cr.hp you can beat out or trade a cross up attempt if your not in a knockdown situation.
But best thing to do is block because she doesnt have anything universal for it.
Axl. Sounds like your a new player so I’m gonna give you very generic advice.
In sf4 a knockdown is very bad. There is no rolling so you can get ambiguous cross up to death. Do not get knocked down.
At a neutral position I would watch your opponent carefully. If they want to jump in, knock them down. If they’re pressuring you with jabs and they go in for a cross up, meet them air to air with j.mp for serious damage, Jump back roundhouse, jump back strong (juggles them you might be able to dive kick or reset after a whiffed dive kick). Jump back forward is very good also.
I don’t suggest trying to auto correct c.fierce as if you fail you’re eating damage.
I highly recommend jumping backwards with an immediate j.hk or j.mk.

Many players I run into nowadays play this guy and I have a hell of a fight every time I face one.

He gets in my face and I can’t really get him off me. I’m just not sure what I should be doing in the situation in terms of getting an offense going. It feels like he can do whatever he wants when he gets near me.
-really delay your crouch tech against his strings
-crouch tech with mk so you can avoid his ex bingo while delaying it.
-watch out for overhead has pretty slow startup so you can react block to it.
overall just dont press buttons when he is on you.

Like Genki said just play Juri like you normally would. Dive kick reactions against his rock throwing but make sure you see the rock coming. Push him into the corner. Bait his reversals.
My only gripes I have against Cody is his 3f cr.short and sometimes it feels as though his mk ruffian kick is unpunishable even though its -8. (maybe he can make it so it is unpunishable at a certain distance idk though).

sorry but i have a few more questions since you guys said the front pages of this thread are inaccurate.
so here goes.
still have problems versus good vegas. i know that a well timed crouching middle kick ducks most of his air specials but sometimes i get caught on wake up from his izuna drop. once i get knocked down and vega starts spamming izuna drop…whats the best thing i can do to get out of that loop? or is it hopeless to get out of?
NOTE:
i even had this one really good Vega player intentionally take off his own mask and claw, then proceeded to taunt me with his claw & mask lying at his feet, then whooped me good without his mask and claw coz he knew my juri was free due to his vega’s izuna drop.
this happened in the early part of the third round.
i lol when i saw him take his mask and claw off and taunt my ass.
i have a practice partner friend online thats a good cammy player that already knows for a fact that cannon spike and spiral arrow beats everything juri has…whats the best strategy to apply with cammy if she gets in on my fuhajin projectiles?
i mean if i block spiral arrow, i just get tick thrown if i remain blocking for too long and if i immediately try to hit or throw cammy after her spiral arrow i get cannon spiked. i can’t jump backwards either cause cannon spike gets me every time.
