They feel a bit heavy at first but after a few rounds, they feel as good as the regular plastic balls. I can’t wait for the baby blue one, I have a stick in mind already for it. Thanks again for making these.
Jigs are in progress, will update, when I have things rolling, so many things to do
@pc1x1 - dude, you need to cut back on the caffeine. I know, I know, computer professionals and caffeine go together like crack and the smelly guy down the street, but stil…
@zombie cpt - thanks. I forget who linked to it before, but I have links to both a 35mm rose quartz ball, and a marble (as in the stone) ball. If people have complaints about these, NO WAY will they want a rock on their stick.
Heya, I just naturally insane, and hyper, no caffeine needed, don’t even drink coffe ;). I got all your stuff, but bought extra wood, simply because wasn’t to sure, that would yield 15 jigs. So I’ll keep making as many as I can with the wood. Just hook me up via paypal on the difference its tiny, so no worries. Also I bought these expensive bolts, because I thought the Cheapys wouldn’t work, they were like a buck each.
Also to confirm, the ball is the same size as a standard JLF ball right? Thats what I’ll be using for the size. Thanks talk to you later, work is already underway, and damn is it hot over here!
That was me with the quartz balls. They will probably be a little heavier than the glass ones but not much being that glass is mostly quartz. Of course quarts has a specific packing structure unlike glass so a quartz ball is bound to be a little more dense. And actually one of the websites I found a while back had the weight of each ball so you could always compare it to the weight of the glass ones to get an idea if it would work or not.
Right now though, I am not looking to get a custom ball top. I already sunk enough money into my stick, though it was definitly worth it for the UPCB. I may be up for a top in the furture but not right now.
That’s cool man. I need to get my UPCB installed in my stick, but I’m being a paint job nazi right now, and it’s so freaking hot outside that I can’t really go out and sand, or drill for that matter.
I have a bag of clear balls coming, which means I’m stocked up on black and clear, and have limited supplies of all colors available. Once it cools off a touch I can get cracking again. I feel back for PC1X1 if it’s nearly as hot there as it is here…
Yea we are hitting 100’s here, I have my fan on maximum, but still dying outside, but work must be done! Everything will ship monday for ya, just email me your shipping number.
Ok well almost finished with your order Numbski. It was alot of work, but got it rolling, Surprise though that there are 40 jigs! And I even water proofed them with industrial paint. Anyhow well work out the details later, but everything should be ok to ship tomorrow :).
Alright, I have clear in stock again! I actually have all colors ready to go, but my jig is totally hosed. :\ While I’m waiting on pc1x1’s jigs to arrive, I might try to make another so I can get some going, but otherwise I should have a full stock sometime next week.
Pre-orders are welcomed at this point.
Well they are ready. I’ll upload a pic, some aren’t 100% the best, but most are pretty good. 40 Jigs! They are already on their way to you.

Its heavy coated to protect from the outside, but not the inside so the balls don’t get stuck, since paint adds to the density, also I left them outside for 2 days in the rain, they were fine, no problems, :).
I got a call from UPS, that they also need your address, please email me that info as soon as possible, I had my parents go over to ship it, but they need that info, anyhow I am going back to sleep for now, Ill be back later, though please email that info, so they can access it. Thanks
PM’ed mailing info.
Shipped, let me know when you get it, and excuse my hand writing, I put the address where it says company name lol, yea pretty out of it, but fixed it, and its shipped
I posted this in your thread on BYOAC but you seem to be more active here so I’ll post here too.
If I were to send you some square wooden blocks could you round them off and drill for the inserts? Or would I have to send you the hardwood balls? I am looking for cherry, walnut and a few other hardwoods.

For hardwood, you’d have to send me the balls. I can do pine - in fact I have ready access to pine balls, but other woods I’d have to have a lathe, and I don’t have that.
How are the jigs bro?
Tightly stuck together, and difficult to separate. I won’t have time to really mess with them much until monday, but it looks like you painted them while the jigs were put together, so the nuts/bolts are caked with paint and the parts are glued together. Oops.
I’ll see how it goes when I have a bit more time.
I took a few and they separate with little force :arazz:, but some oooff into it .
You should be fine ;). No oops 8P
Are you still in business Numbski? I wanted a couple
Sorry for vanishing on everyone. Here’s what’s happened:
Changed jobs twice.
My own company more or less went belly up.
Lots and lots of stress.
Got very sick.
Had to go to the ER with a nosebleed that wouldn’t quit (unrelated to my work here).
So…
The jigs I got from PC1X1 won’t work. Sorry man, I tried, but the holes aren’t centered properly and they drill crooked. I’ll have to make some myself. The weather is my #1 enemy right now. It’s too cold to run water while drilling. It’s below freezing out.
I have over 100 balls in stock, ready to be drilled into, and before weather warms up I’ll probably get some stone balls in as well. I had a source for a really nifty chrome skull that I could mod into a joystick top, but I lost it! Grrr…
Anyway, again, sorry for dropping off the face of the planet, but my hope is that as soon as the weather warms up, I’ll get cranking again.
Thats to bad, but I followed your directions, so dunno where it went wrong. But good luck.
Also I figured something wrong happened, since you never followed up with sending my samples, but since the jigs apparently didn’t work, we’ll call it even, don’t worry about it.
