Maybe no wall bounce in the corner? I know that doing so with drones assist or super you are better off with no bounce.
Stalking Flare will almost certainly still run out of hits before Frank recovers. I’ll just have to figure another way out.
Strider can get Frank 4 with the addition of Jill’s Arrow kick assist.
Pretty much Excalibur Loop–> Hard Knockdown–> Legion–> DHC before Legion comes out to ST—> Knee Drop—> call Jill, Snap, snap,
Finally got to Level 4 with Frank (in thoery, haven’t tested this yet) with Wright, but needs one more assist.
Two Turnabout Loops -> Order in the Court -> Whiff Survival Techniques -> call Wright, snap -> wall bounce, Knee Drop -> call assist, snap, snap.
Strider and Frank 4 without Jill.
M,H,2H, 4H,S Excalibur loop, S, M,double jump, HS, Legion, immediately DHC to ST, Legion comes out, Knee Drop, Call Strider,Snap, Snap.
NO need for jill anymore.
Is it just me or can you not get a picture against Sentinal after using Spencer to UVG hard tag?
Also with Haggar, hard tagging after a pipe in the corner will hit big characters, Hulk, Haggar, Sentinal… didn’t completely test it.
And with Modok, you can “DHC glitch” after his grab super into whiffed ST. You can even OTG with jumping H Tools to get a combo afterwards.
The MODOK one I did not know, but if you mean a jumping pipe with Haggar that actually works with any move that does a ground bounce and then a hard knockdown (or combinations in some instances). The UVG with Spencer to hard tag works against everyone as well.
UVG?
Unscaled Vertical Grapple
Ya I know that, its on the first page as a HTW, just saying it will hit against certain characters in the corner.
As with the Spencer thing, did you actually test it? When I record it working on any character and then playback on Sentinal it doesn’t work…
Great. And I was all content with my outdated corner ender. Time to learn how to jcc!
Weird, no idea as to why.
Why do you run the team as Haggar, Spencer, Frank? I would run it Spencer, Haggar, Frank myself. Since you have good setups with Frank hard tag from up grapple and you get good milage out of spin. And then you also have Haggar to do a simple combo into grounded fists for Frank.
I have a Week 1 Spencer and a Week 1.5 Haggar. Plus, it’s a lot easier to hard tag after a RFF for a easy level 4 (or 3 if I screw up) than most Spencer BnBs.
I always liked using my first guy for a hard tag setup or my second guy for a backup setup. So for me its Firebrand (two hard tag setups) or Skrull (DHC) when I have more meter.
Maybe once I get better with Spencer I’ll be able to do that, but for now, it’s hella easier to pipe, RFF, hard tag, easy Level 3/4 Frank.
I think the ideal Frank team is a hard tag setup in front, preferrably with an install super, but not necessary, and Trish second, every DHC leads to a lvl4, any combo leads to a lvl4. Problem is I tried that, and my Trish is garbage. Mainly my firebrand was the problem. Possibly Vergil/Trish/Frank, that would be powerful.
Non sequitur, just kinda responding to Cape.
Edit: Also, for Meta, don’t forget after an air pipe with the ground bounce still around you can raw tag and pic, possibly juggling with lariat and going into S, S, pic. The better setup is from a ground pipe on an airborne opponent late combo.
Edit Edit: Right, you have spencer for dat restand…then you can get way more hits off way easier combos…my tech not necessary :C. Whatevs, still very strong for Haggar/Notspencer/Frank.
I personally think Dante second is the ideal choice. Vergil/Firebrand/Haggar kind of setup first with a hard tag setup followed by a potent DHC and/or assist. The only REAL issues with Firebrand as a lead on a Frank team is the low number of hits before his hard tag as well as his worthless assists. Dante has a great THC, DHC, hard tag setups, an amazing assist in Jam Session, etc. He should be on every Frank team ideally.
Yeah, Dante/Trish/Frank would be amazing, actually. That’s my vote for best Frank team. Trish I feel is necessary because she allows anything to add a meter and tag in Frank for level 4+, and it allows for extremely extended combos because j.S works from her super (Dante or Frank), as well as sneaky incoming and mixup shenanigans all the time, but especially with a low assist (The biggest reason Wesker/Trish/Frank rivals the more Frank-optimized teams)
Restand? What is this restand tech I have not heard of?
Spencer has two grapple assists. The straight grapple puts into a hard knockdown state and the angled puts into a stand. You are best off with the restand grapple as you can do alot of interesting things with Haggar. You can do Hooligan Launchers from it or grounded RFF. For Frank you can do picture to picture to super or picture to roundhouse kick M into whatever and you can also do jumping tools H with assist into a roll cancelled zombie mixup.
Duke: What about Spencer/Trish, Spencer/Dante, Spencer/Vergil, Vergil/Dante, Vergil/Trish?
