Why did you write “Lololol”? Yes, there is a reason I wrote “nigh-universally”, instead of “universally”. Double Lariat allows Dormammu to be on point.
Like I said, Frank is the extra here. If he doesn’t work out, I’ll move on. Nothing replaces Morrigan.
Okeydokey. I wrote “Lololol” to be silly, I’m a silly one, sorta, and because I enjoy Dormammu point when he has a powerful get-off-me assist, just Lariat also gets come good extension, and a lot of the other get-off-me’s are crap/don’t do much else for dorm.
And, to be honest, Frank isn’t bad on this team, but you could do way better, because Frank doesn’t give Dorm enough extension, and Morrigan and Dorm don’t give enough to Frank. Go Taskmaster, Zero, maybe Viper, Spencer, maybe X-23 or Trish, or go Nemesis or Chun for dat lowtier with decent synergy.
why makes RR so good? DHC rock and roll into whiffed TS? In my experience it doesn’t even work as a THC, it’s just a little too short to allow for snapshots like million dollars or okami shuffle do
There’s raw tag setups you can do during Boulder loop, during a Incendiary Oil spill, Level 3, Log traps, Grab Bag, Mad Hopper, and I’m PRETTY sure his Mr Flapper, but that’s distance specific and uses your ground bounce.
He has the most Raw tag setups with Frank west in the game, and can still do the normal RnR into Whiffed Sruvival. Hell, you can do a Mad Hopper into BLS if you time it correctly as well.
No, I actually meant he should try the characters I listed instead of Frank, and that they’d work quite well with Dormammu and Morrigan. I think Morrigan has to change for it to be an optimal frank team, and he said that’s not an option, so…yeah.
Second combo of this video (0:30) has a pretty neat setup for level 5 Frank, and it ends in a ToD (he barely doesn’t kill Thor but that’s because he used M kick instead of M Tools, or he would’ve)
Thats a smart idea, it seems to work similar to the Chris Grenade Launcher into shopping cart setup. I wonder what other delayed hitting moves can help with a BLS in the corner?
Because it allows Frank time to follow up after the shopping cart. Something he cannot do from a standing or OTGed opponent without X-factor, slow down, or a delayed hit move on the DHC like Mystic Stare or a Grenade from Chris.
Possible items: One of Arthur’s Projectiles, Dr. Strange’s Daggers of Denak or Eye of Agamotto, Trish’s Round Trip, Viewtiful Joe Charged Voomerang, Nova Gravametric Pulse, Hawkeye exploding arrow, Dormammu Stalking Flare, Sentinel Drones. These may work depending on spacing, timing, etc to trigger after a DHC into a BLS. Likely the opponent would be on the ground where these were set up.
I haven’t been able to get Stalking Flare to work. If someone can, I’d love to know how. The flare pushes the opponent far too high for Frank’s camera to get a shot.
Try knocking the opponent to the ground and do stalking flare, then DHC to BLS to pick them up. Stalking Flare is a bit slower but should catch them at the end of the cart.
Augh. I’m close to getting Level 4 with Frank and Wright, but it’s not there yet. Gonna go into the lab and see if Break the Witness :l:/ works later in the week.
I did some testing, and the results weren’t great.
Dormammu combo ending in Stalking Flare -> Blue Light Special is really inconsistent based on screen position. Sometimes the Flare burns out too fast for Frank to take a picture, sometimes the Flare doesn’t catch up to the wall bounce fast enough, and sometimes it’s just right.
Dormammu combo ending in Chaotic Flame -> Blue Light Special works outside of corners if you perform Chaotic Flame very soon after Purification and cancel into Blue Light Special within about 10 hits of Chaotic Flame. It puts your opponent in the right spot to launch after Frank’s hyper ends.
On a more positive note, I got the THC to always result in Frank West getting to level 5.
Felt like improving my Strider/Frank tech ended up making it an inescapable reset in the corner (besides double jumpers).
Pretty much it’s the same deal, with moving forward a bit then snapping a pic for level 3 then FFCing. The quirky thing here is that FFC auto-corrects so it covers all techs.
