Yeah there’s a few things fundamentally off about 4. Block strings can cause quite a few problems…you’ve got 3 or so options to deal with it. Wait it out, they’ll likely attempt to throw, tech and reposition. Or, react and beat/trade with one of your moves. And finally, do a block string of your own. It comes down to the characters though. Certain characters can’t handle good pressure.
Bring back the 3s UOH or something IMHO, or an Alpha guard meter.

From listening to what everyone on Xbox and on a few SRK threads have to say, it seems like everyone enjoys their old game more than SF4 so far. All the ST people are still clinging to ST/HDR and 3S folks don’t seem too eager to change over either. Apparently this new game is just a bit too slow/turtley for everyone’s liking at this time.
Don’t include me in your statistics good sir, I’ll take the new game, maybe it’s an experience issue, but I feel its what I have the best shot at being competitive with.
Oh its fun, but its frustrating. Cuz i either romp on people and litteraly everyone i play gets PISSED while playing. It takes the enjoyment out when i hear bitching and moaning non stop. Or i play glen and go 40/60 with him and its so annoying trying to get in on him. Even people who are normaly cool when they lose and shit, they just tear nonstop. So i switch characters and they find something new to bitch about, and whats wierd is it realy only happens with the good players. "Oh so i just have to sit here and geuss, this is bullshit!"
or “I cant stop those cross ups i dont have anything to beat that waaah” or “everything you do is fucking safe wow this is stupid”. 
We all get frustrated but the mark of good player i always thought was not showing it, but that shit doesnt seem to be happening in 4 :(. I like it alot though, i just like st better is all. Playing both is where its at. I started using rogs ex upper combos today, hella easy i didnt bother with em cuz i thought id need to go to training mode. But damn, hes like mvc2 in this bitch! And punishing option select with ex overhead rush, clk, headbutt, ultra is just soooo satisfiying. What a grimy bnb.

I think it’s safe to say that(after seeing and hearing all of the SF4 impressions) generally whichever game a person starts out playing competitively, they will most likely see that one as the model of what a fighter should be.
Gary - Mister “I’M A DAN MASTA” When you going to live up to your title? I don’t wanna see you using Gief or Ryu anymore.
Rex - I’m still trying my best to learn the game. It will be a slow process. It always is for me. I’ll probably be behind lots of folks in SF4 but after 1, 2, X number of years go by I might start to really break out and excel at it depending on how much I really like it. I was in love with ST and look where that got me (and honestly I’m still improving at it). SF3… not so much and so honestly I’ll never truly be good at it.
Clem - it’s ok, sounds like you guys aren’t into baseball. I forgot that you also liked NFL Blitz so that’s two sports games and counting. For some reason you and Isaac just don’t strike me as people who really enjoy or get into sports at all. Or maybe I’m right but you just like the video games for some reason.
