It looks like we might have several teams from Indy if both Ft.Wayne and Naptown has enough people.
I can’t do much this weekend, going friend is coming up for the weekend and were gonna marathon through RE 5.
All good, I probably won’t be around for part of this weekend anyways.
That Ohio tournament is blowing up, hopefully there will be a good turnout. I am very interested in going, but I hope I don’t have a conflicting schedule on that date.

We had a huge fire downtown today. havent seen any footage of it yet. I guess it devastated a new luxury apartment building that was getting ready to open.

The episodes are too long, even when you break them into 2 parts. Otherwise very cool. If we can get back to our 20-30 minute shows I think that might be a good thing. I wonder what anyone else thinks. Hmmmmmm.

Everyone: Did you guys see that Final Round only had 57 players for 3rd Strike? I’ve noticed quite a decline with that game lately. It seems many are moving on to street fighter 4.
Brent: Did you notice that many of the top names in Super Turbo didn’t play in Remix? Is there a movement against remix among the top players? Or did they not get there in time?
It was for a regional qualifier to compete in the 5 on 5 HDremix regional team tourny for the south east region.

I wonder why they didn’t have Remix as a formal tournament though. I thought the game was being accepted by the community. Is this not the case?
I think their focus this year was on classic ST because it was supposed to be like the final large, major tournament for it. I’m assuming HD Remix will take its place from here on out.
I really wish we had some way of playing each other Tim, one day a patch will fix this…It is Xbox though, so I should probably have low expectations.

The ps3 HD Remix patch has been released, not sure about Xbox though cause I’m not at home yet. For the ps3, I am hearing that the patch fixed most of the problems it intended to, but there are now new problems as a result. Apparently the matches usually freeze for a few seconds midway through each match and the rankings weren’t reset at all. Hopefully the XBox patch is superior.
Better not turn out worse than what they had before…
Sorry for not posting a bit earlier or not trying to call you Brent (dont have the phone with me). Things got kind of hectic when both myself and my opponent on the Gamebattles tourney found out we were supposed to play our match with about 30 mins to spare. Well…supposedly everyone had a scheduled time to play, at 9 pm today. And it also looks as if either 1/2 to 3/4 of the people in the bracket had no idea either. And Brent, sorry to say but it looks like your opponent isn’t going to let it go. I quote from your opponent, “no show gg”.

It’s ok. Not your fault. Yeah I saw he posted that. I sure didn’t understand that I had to play my match at EXACTLY 9pm EST on Tuesday. Screw that. I’m not even going to bother with it at this point. I’m pretty sure that’s the last time I bother playing anything on GameBattles. Stuff like this just proves once again why live in-person events are the way to go, not this online crap. $7 wasted.
It’s all become very clear to me that my opponent got exactly what he’s been looking for all this time… a free win without having to play. He’s a sneaky coward in my opinion. I say this because I’ve been trying to contact him since yesterday and he just continues to completely ignore all my private messages and friend requests.
I was offline from 8pm-10pm and when I logged back on he was all over the place sending me stuff on GameBattles and Xbox at 9pm saying he wanted to play right now and then immediately reported the match as a no-show. So at this point I’m 99% sure that’s all he’s doing is hoping to get free wins by avoiding contact with anyone like me or 3/4 of the tournament field that doesn’t understand the rules perfectly. He could have easily said “hey we can’t play until 9pm tomorrow” or he could have agreed to play me early like last night or even earlier today (if he was online earlier today, not sure). But instead he just ignores you completely and then immediately jumps all over the win if you are not there to play because the rules weren’t clear enough.
But whatever, even though I think that’s rather sneaky on his part I still blame GameBattles for their lack of structure and clarity. They have been pushing this tournament back over and over, and then last night they suddenly throw up some brackets and then at God knows what time today throw up this little tiny detail that says we all most play tonight at 9pm. Ridiculous!

Pathetic stuff… Even if he didn’t pull that ignoring crap it is still tournament etiquette to give more time to play. Yes there is a rule, but it’s not like people traveled and spent a lot of money to play in a tournament that had to be entirely finished within a couple hours.
Anyway, I lost my match. I would say my opponent and I were evenly matched but I didn’t win a single round. I was either at school or working from 9am-11pm today and just couldn’t pull some easy stuff off. Unfortunately that is my schedule for all Tuesdays and Thursdays, but I’ll still see how far I can get.
By the way, I couldn’t connect to the guy forever. Pretty much the Tim situation. He kept resetting his router and it eventually let us connect.

This will probably be my last time in a GB event as well. I checked them out way back in the day for SOCOM 2 and they had some of the most ridiculous rules I had ever seen. Looks like they haven’t learned a thing over the past 6 or so years…
That shit sucks yo, The ps3 one got pushed back to the 24th? I think, It doesn’t really matter, the only recent dates that I’m looking forward to are Whenever the fuck my Cammy figures that I ordered two weeks ago get here (don’t be hatin’) and March 28th.
Btw, March 28th is my B-day/my games with gootecks date, I’m still in limbo about what all I’m gonna do on that day, but would you guys be able to do some Street Fightin’ on that day? J/w
