Josh - don’t be silly. It’s our pleasure to welcome new people into our group, especially ones that play different games. Obviously our group’s main focus is on Street Fighter but it’s good to have others that vary in taste like Tekken, BB, Smash, DOA, SC, etc.
Spencer - we won’t ever let you get that shirt because it’s way too ridiculously expensive. I remember they made a Vega shirt before and I thought it was neat and of course it would be just perfect for me but then I saw the price tag and immediately removed any thoughts of purchasing from my mind. :sad:
Anyway, since everyone else is making news then I guess I have some. I am putting in some needed time with SF4 and I think I have found a “main” replacement for Vega beside some of the counter characters I intend to play. Now on such short notice I’m not sure if I’ll be still playing lots of Vega at Indy or already move on to the new stuff but I’d like to do the new stuff. I’m still learning but it’s going alright. I managed to win two straight G2 tournaments last night using my new main from start to finish. I could never do that with Vega.
I’m prepping a stick mod that’ll be ready by SB, (No more Tape!) and that’s gonna cost me some cash. As much fun as I think it would be, I’m 95% sure it’ll backfire and I’ll be the laughing stock of everyone ever. I won’t even be able to use the interwebs, let alone go outside my house, I know people will be camping outside ready to laugh when I leave for school.
I may be able to do something that could help start it however, brb… Nope need to be at school I think to do it. Can’t do it at home.
I have news thats 3 days late. lol.
I called Brent about it and thought id finally post up here.

Hey guys bad news… no tournament for me on Saturday I’m going to have to go to work, and they didn’t let me know until yesterday.
All that being said, thanks to everyone for coming out last weekend, I had a blast. I also learned a lot about Balrog on HDR so I have Gary to thank for that, I’ve been winning a majority of my matches online since then with plenty of ragequitting going on as soon as I start to bust out that nasty throw trick he taught me. Also, I’m still working on SFIV and I may end up playing Balrog in that.

Dan - hey sorry to hear about that man. If there is a silver lining to this, you know you have plenty of time to try planning for SB4 with JWong, Daigo, and others. Obviously that one’s gonna mean a little more than the Indy tournament so you won’t feel bad about missing it. What better way to break yourself into the tournament scene than stepping up in front of several hundred players live on the big screen at Momo’s (and thousands watching by live internet stream) and getting crushed out of your undies by JWong and Daigo. If you pull the Balrog whiffed dash upper throw setup on either of them we’ll give you major props! :clapdos::tup:
Laipply - well we have like maybe 2 folks here that enjoy their Smash. Other than that we are primarily a Street Fighter group with a sprinkle of Tekken, BlazBlue, and DOA thrown into the mix. We meet on weekends a lot (usually 2 or 3 weekends per month) at friend’s houses. We have a tournament to attend in Indianapolis this weekend but we’ll surely get you in the loop in the near future. Our tiny crew has started growing recently. It’s quite exciting actually and nice to see new faces.
I have 3 people including myself that want to be in the Street Fighter community… Call/Text me 1 260 918 5887… I want to know when we can meet up. I would love to come have some fun. Also, I want to add, that when I come play with this community, SF is my prioity. Smash is cool if someone else wants to play… I am reaching out so I can become VERY good at SF. I’m a very cometitive gamer… So… Yeah.
Oh wow. I will certainly have to do some talking with the folks that host us on weekends. It might be a tad difficult to get them to open up to 4 new folks real fast but we’ll see what we can do. I will probably give you a call either Friday or maybe Sunday just to introduce myself (I’m Brent, btw) and let you know about our crew and stuff. Like I said we have a tournament in Indianapolis this Saturday so we definitely can’t hang out for games this weekend.
If you boys are really that hungry to get into SF then honestly you really can’t afford to miss the Season’s Beatings 4 tournament in Columbus, OH. That’s in mid-October. I don’t know how familiar you are with the biggest names in fighting games but Justin Wong and Daigo will be in attendance, amongst others. This is one tournament you just can’t miss if you live this close to the venue and are trying to really get into SF.
Just out of curiosity, what Street Fighter game(s) are you guys trying to get competitive in? I’m sure SF4, but is there anything else (and I’m counting games like Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 as a Street Fighter game)? We have people in our crew that love SF2 games, SF3, and of course SF4. We can probably be competitive in MvC2 and CvS2. We don’t really have anyone here that plays the Alpha series.
I swear you used to love Smash. I guess you aren’t so bad after all.

I’m only concerned about Gary, who I texted the details to. I hope he comes. He passed up free $ at the Arcade Legends tournament in my mind and I hope he doesn’t pass it up here again this weekend. He’s too good at SF4 to be skipping out on these local tournaments. Gary, don’t miss out again dude.
Oh I hope GWH is who I think it is! Also, how did the tournament go? Lastly, I fully plan on pulling a whiffed uppercut into throw on someone at SB4. I’ve been doing it every match on PSN lately and the rage quitting is intense! I laugh so hard.
Also, I’m game for adding more people and could make use of the second room in my basement. I may also be able to talk the missus into letting us use the other TV in the house. We all need to get together and soon, I miss you folks.
