Jaleel, I shot you guys an e-mail. Just want to check out what’s going on with my account page. Thanks!
you ship to ireland ?
COUPON CODE: SHADOWLOO or ECT3
Edward Valdez (RoyalFlushTZ) is testing the Uila LEDs this coming week. We will also recruit other testers and video creators to produce videos that show various install configurations. Ed will start with Toodles FGWidget. We’ll have the Sparky RGB LED controller PCB coming to focusattack.com in several weeks as well.
@Zensouken Bryan from Paradise Arcade is helping us get the hollow JLF shafts. We will introduce these items after the Sparky PWM variation is completed.
Do you have an order number? I’m going over emails that were sent on 6/25 on forward today.
Yes, we ship globally via USPS Priority or First Class International.
We will count retweets only once, and cross-check RL names on Twitter to confirm if a purchase was made at focusattack.com to avoid duplication.
Any idea if those LEDs fit around a JLF shaft yet? When are they going to be available? I’ll buy one just to test.
^^^ You are the greatest thing to ever happen to the interweb! Thank you. I can’t to place an order for a few of them.
Sounds great Jaleel, thanks for the heads up!
What is that little measuring device called? I’ve got to get my hands on one!
Digital Caliper.
you will have to creatively route the wires though.
i did this with an ArcEye. The problem will be pinching the wires where the metal mount plate meets its mount surface.
i used shrink wrap to ensure i did not ‘cut’ into the wiring.

Care to share few pictures of the insides so I can get a better idea of what it might look like?
Just got my JLF in the mail. Very speedy service!
Just wondering if you have a date set for those LEDs yet.
Jaleel, I shot you an e-mail regarding refunding again. Hopefully it gets through unlike the last one. :wasted:
Thanks again man!
Hi All,
My apologies for the lack of replies the past two weeks. A lot is going on behind the scenes at focusattack.com, and with a full-time job, I try to get to them when possible. A few things:
First off, thanks to JDM714 for assisting Nogood56er’s question with those photos. This was a very helpful demonstration of how the Uila will fit into the joystick shaft.
Regarding the Uila Series LEDs, I halted releasing them because I wanted to perform some additional install and usability tests. That said, I asked Ed Valdez - AKA RoyalFlushTZ - to install the LEDs. During testing, he would report the ease or difficulty he had setting the Uilas into a Seimitsu PS-14-KN button, wiring them cleanly to a FGWidget and Sparky LED controller (thanks to destindydm for supplying the Sparky), and overall impressions. Ed offered to take photos and build a basic install tutorial after giving his impressions of the LEDs.
The Uilas have a very small “tab” located on the left and right side of the PCB. Paradise Arcade built the PCB with this tab to allow for a tight fit specifically within the Seimitsu PS-14-KN button. Initial impressions by Ed is that the tabs make a very snug fit with no wiggle in the button, but also makes it difficult to remove them once installed. The quickest solution to this issue is to simply file the corners and the sides of each tab, which will allow for a looser, but more compatible fit in the button. I must decide whether this tab is worthwhile to keep in, or request that the LEDs have the tabs removed.
These tests are to ensure that the products you buy are easy enough to use and compatible with your configuration. As of now, the Uila is compatible with the Seimitsu PS-14-KN. We will not recommend it for other buttons until further testing is concluded.
I originally stated that July 18th may see the launch of these LEDs. As with all new products, please don’t hold me to that date. This is particularly why I didn’t offer them for pre-order. That said, the Uilas will see a release in July at the prices I’ve mentioned earlier, and am confident that you will find them a valuable alternative to existing LED solutions. They will rock.
To answer some additional questions and comments:
I got your message and your refund is processing now. To those reading this, we’ve received several requests to cancel orders for the Akishop PS360+. All refunds have been processed and if you haven’t received yours yet, you should within a few days. It’s understandable that the repeated manufacturing delays from Akishop has strained your patience. Had I known that the release of this PCB might take several months, I would have refrained from offering pre-orders. For those who have pre-ordered and are patiently awaiting release, I thank you for sticking around. I’ve asked Per to have at least 400 units made for Focusattack.com. I’ve also asked if it’s possible to receive any publishable feature list. No responses yet; if and when I get a list that he approves for a release, I’ll let you know.
Thank you very much Jaleel! I (and I’m sure many others) appreciate the work you’re doing.
Do the Uila’s fit really that tight with the tabs? I don’t get why you can’t just push in the microswitch in, then push the microswitch out with a little screwdriver which would pop out the Uila as well. Either it’s too tight even for that, or I’m missing something?
I’m not entirely sure if the tabs do fit that tightly, because I’m still awaiting further impressions from RoyalFlushTZ (Ed). That said, it’s possible that pushing the microswitch into the button housing would free the Uila LED as you said. Paradise Arcade specified that simply filing a portion of the tabs will enable the PCB to fit loosely into the button - the tab is just to ensure a secure fit that other PCBs don’t have at the moment.
