** Focusattack.com fighting game store **

Hi all!

Jaleel here from focusattack.com. My apologies for the lack of updates here. Things have been a little hectic. First, I have a question for the LED modders on the scene, and then a few updates on items and events.

Uila LEDs coming: Need Sparky PWM for testing

Does anyone own a Sparky PWM that includes screw terminals? Due to Canada’s Post Office strike, I’m unable to get one until our specialized version is manufactured. I’d like to further test the Uila brand of pre-wired LEDs that we intend to release in just after mid-July. If you have a spare Sparky PWM and live in the USA, please give me a holler via PM or email and I’ll hook you up.

On that note, let me briefly introduce you to the Uila series, created by the experts at Paradise Arcade. Our LED solution is pre-wired with harnesses, requires no soldering, and currently fits the Seimitsu PS-14-KN screwbutton.

The high-end version of the UIla pushbutton LED series is the Uila-S Flash. It combines the bright RGB and white LEDs into one complete PCB. This allows you to create an almost limitless combination of color and/or white light effects with a compatible controller. We’re hoping that players have fun modifying existing controllers to handle the extra white light as well. Best of all, it’s pre-wired and priced lower than existing RGB-only LEDs. The Uila-S Flash will be available for just $4.25!

The Uila-S is our capable mid-range pushbutton LED, featuring 2 bright Red/Green/Blue LEDs. With the Sparky, FGWidget, or other compatible controller, you can create hundreds of color combinations! Again, it’s pre-wired so no soldering is needed, and priced competitively for just $3.25 at Focusattack.com.

For those who are looking to light up their existing Seimitsu KN series buttons, or don’t want to invest heavily in an LED solution, we have the Uila Budget Pushbutton LED. It features two bright white LEDs. It’s perfect for lighting the translucent-colored Seimitsu PS-14-KN screwbuttons. Best of all, they are super-low priced at just $2.25 each!

PS360+: Still Q3

Currently we have nearly 300 pre-orders and return/replacements for the eagerly anticipated PS360+ multi-console + PC joystick PCB. As a result, we have temporarily halted pre-orders at this time until stock is in hand. Per from Akishop recently stated that there is no change in the manufacturing completion date of Q3, which ranges from July to September. We will post any updates to the pre-order status on Focusattack.com through our Pre-Order status page. We know each of you have waited patiently for the release of this redesigned controller solution, and we humbly thank you for sticking around.

Sale, Twitter contests during Shadowloo Showdown 2K11, East Coast Throwdown 3

My apologies for the short notice - it’s been super busy these days - but we have some great FGC-related announcements for this tournament-filled weekend. First off, Focsattack.com is proud to co-sponsor the high-caliber tournament Shadowloo Showdown 2K11 and East Coast Throwdown 3! During the tournament weekend, we are holding our famed tournament sale, offering up to 15% off existing arcade parts using coupon code “SHADOWLOO” or “ECT3”. We will also take pre-orders for the Qanba Q4RAF restock, set to arrive by mid-July. We will also take pre-orders for the Q4RAF plexis. These plexi-based overlays allow you to swap in your own custom artwork for the Q4RAF. They are priced to move at $13.95! Also coming are Qanba color hole plugs. These special 30mm plugs come in 5 colors to ensure that black isn’t your only option. You can pre-order them for just $1.79!

Finally, we’re giving two** (yes, two!)** Qanba Q4RAF joysticks away on Twitter during this weekend! Get a chance to win the multi-console, Sanwa-equipped and tournament-ready joystick by following us (@focusattack) on Twitter and retweeting a special message. Entries are counted until 9PM EST USA, and yes the contest is available to USA and worldwide residents! We’ll have details coming this Friday evening the latest.

Remember, Focusattack.com ships globally. During these two super-class tournaments, take advantage of the low USA dollar conversion and score the joystick parts your need to win your next tournament. Thanks for the support!

I have the Uila S Flash, and they are so fun!
I flash my whites.
Laugh.

Is it Uila S or Uila-S?
Paradise Arcade Shop and you type different.

I like the Uila Budget LEDs, looks easy to attach and reasonable in price. =]

This place looks happening. Will get my PCB from here, thanks.

anyone know how to get the UILAs to work with the FGWidget, i have everything working right but the LEDs … RBG, is clearly RBG… and i know Ground is black… is white, white or is it something else…

I’ve got a question since the PS360’s are still not ready. I’m moving soon… Possibly, either mid July, or at the latest by August. As of now I want to keep my shipping address as it is, just in case. But once I find a place, how would I go about changing my shipping address?

It was great to be able to work with Focus Attack on these and I know that both Jaleel and I are looking forward to seeing how creative people can be with these new LED’s. Just to clarify on the colored wires, White is +5, red= red ground, green=green ground, blue=blue ground, black=flash ground.

@jdm714: That’s actually a good question. @armi0024: Should I keep the dash off when referring to the Uila “S” types?

@jmanthepanda: That’s our goal: to make them easy to install and low in price. No PCB soldering is required.

@Arvoyea: Glad to hear it. We’ll have more LED solutions coming, such as lighted balltops and hollow joystick shafts. We’re basically just getting started.

@Nogood56er: You can send a message using the Focusattack.com account messaging system, or PM me your new address. I’ll revise the order to reflect your new address. Going forward, you can change the address in your account by logging into focusattack.com and changing your account profile information. Let me know if you have any problems doing that.

Thanks, Bryan. Guys - armi0024 is the proud owner of Paradise Arcade, and one of the main developers behind the Uila series and upcoming variation of the Sparky RGB controller. We are both releasing the updated Uila series in our stores in mid-July. I’m very thankful for his assistance in creating a solution for tournament players like you that enjoy making sick joystick configurations. I’m confident that you will see more collaboration projects with Focusattack.com and Paradise arcade in the coming months!

I’ve got another question. Will those Uila lights fit around a JLF shaft? I’ve been looking to get a light coming out of there so I know when my stick is on (Using a sixaxis controller, so it’s wireless).

When do the coupon codes go into effect? I’m very excited to upgrade my SE stick with new buttons and a joystick.

Just wondering if you guys accept Visa pre paid gift cards as payment.

I believe that we can. If the pre-paid card has a number and an expiration date as most cards, you can use it.

The coupon codes are now active!

I’m not sure whether the Uila will fit around a JLF shaft because we haven’t tried that yet, but perhaps Bryan (Armi0024), knows if that is possible. I can ask him.

Guys, the Q4-RAF contest page is up and taking entries via Twitter. Check it out!

http://bit.ly/kskml4

does the tweet option on that page count or do you have to retweet from your twitter post? since i tweeted and retweeted, do i need to delete one to avoid getting dq’d?

Will there be detailed instructions on how to hook up the LEDs with various PCBs like the PS360?

I would recommend keeping just the retweet. On the other hand I might buy something from FA this weekend and if I do I’ll delete my retweet just in case since I don’t want to have a double-entry into the contest.

all right, thanks for the heads up.

Jaleel, I read somewhere (may have been the previous page, eyes are burnt out right now) that aside from the Uila series that focusattack would be stocking hollow JLF shafts and/or LED balltop solutions in the near future. I’ve been collecting research on what I’ll need supply wise for when I attempt an LED stick and if your store will be jumping on that endeavor I’m in with my wallet. It seems purplearms might be retiring (taking a break?) so when I’m ready to pursue LED options he might not be available.
