** Focusattack.com fighting game store **

Hey all,

My apologies for the delays and lack of updates here. My order fulfillment coordinator is back on the job which frees me up once again.

On to replies:

Pretty slick, man. I saw this on Facebook as well. You mentioned custom artwork and LEDs, right?

I will follow up with that project should the Akishop+ not address some of the PS3 TE soldering differences.

lol - I’m sorry about the lack of UFS cards. I have a ton of them, but in trying to prevent bombarding my fulfillment coordinator with too many packing requirements (every order is custom), I haven’t asked her to include them. PM me your name and I’ll ask her to pack several of them in your next order.

Thanks for your assistance, Ed. I know it’s been a pain to use workarounds or requiring a minimal amount of soldering for the PS3 TE. I will inquire with Akishop

One note about PS360+ preorders: Our May 31st preorder date is based on a possible anticipated retrieval date that Akishop made back in March, but will wholly depend on Akishop releasing and shipping the units before that date. I will inquire with Akishop on the status of the unit this week.

On another note, we’ve FINALLY received a shipment of Seimitsu PS-14-K pushbuttons! You can now pick them up for $3.79 each. Also received word from my supplier that the Seimitsu smoke balltop has correctly shipped by Seimitsu (they messed up the last order), so we should have those in stock by end of the week or sooner. For those asking, thanks for your patience on that.

For those that ordered the Qanba Q4RAF joystick, I’ve received word from my supplier that I should be able to pick them up the weekend of the 21st. We will start shipping them out on that date. Not all 45 will ship the same day, but we’ll try to cover as many as possible each day until all preorders are shipped.

Will have more details later this week, potentially including progress on the LED buttons and controller project. Thanks for the support!

Yes. I posted part of a frosted pic of Facebook too. Waiting on my ArcEye2s and Sparkys to come in. I’ll be heading to Kinko’s in a day or 2 and have the picture printed! Once its done I’ll post another pic.
SRK if you visit the picasasite plz feel free to comment. I’ll take any and all advice and requests!!!

Thanks!!!

Team Foehammer Cases

Hey all!

Apologies for the quietness here over the past few days. Several upcoming products are still in progress and will see release over the new few weeks.

I am considering an opportunity to carry custom wood cases by Team FoeHammer. If you’ve purchased cases from them, can you help me learn more about your experiences with the cases? I noticed that LizardLick is completely out of them, but used to carry them.

Thanks!

w00t! Got my Seimitsu Ks today! Threw in some SW-68s and loving it

@jmanDMC - I’ve seen some of their cases here locally in Denver, CO. I wish I had the money to get one of them but I got to play with a few of them. They’re pretty good stuff. Wiring looks to be really neat. Don’t know how long they last.

Also, I got a question. Can the PS360+ be used in a HRAP 3-SA? Or are they only for TE sticks?

Thanks for the feedback on TFH, Chavelo. Regarding the Hori install, I believe that Ed Valdez (a.k.a Royal FlushTZ) installed one into a similar joystick a while back. The PCB would replace most of the functions from the existing Hori PCB. Ed if you’re reading this, can you confirm?

Awesome! I really like the PS-14-Ks appearance. We will see if the upcoming LED PCBs will work just as well in them as they should for the KNs.

Some slightly frustrating news on the Qanba Q4RAF sticks. According to my supplier, the stock of joysticks have FINALLY arrived in the US. This would be fantastic, except that the freight was chosen to receive a full x-ray by customs. This has delayed the pick up until the following week. If you’re reading this, please know that the joysticks have arrived and will ship, but a week later than we anticipated. As with all-preorders, we are at the mercy of the manufacturer and shipping process to get them here, which was by ship. There were nearly 70 pcs ordered just for Focusattack.com, and my supplier ordered more than that. Rest assured, we are getting them in, and will follow up later with any Qanba accessories we can to support the joystick, such as plexi overlays and colored hole plugs. More on that soon.

Also spoke to Akishop regarding the status of the PS360+. We’re still waiting on a feature list, but they assure its coming. Right now, I can only mention the USB wiring connection will resemble more recent solutions PCB makers are using today.

Didn’t want you to forget that FA also helps you customize yourself. I got to sample the inking of our latest SINIX T-Shirt, “Crazy Buffalo” today. It’s displayed on a light grey shirt here, but will be printed on both Royal Blue and Smoke colored Anvil tagless fine cloth shirts. Here’s the sample:

Thanks for your support!

Dude I want that Crazy Buffalo shirt for EVO! Although it’ll be embarrassing when I loose with Balrog sporting this shirt.

If installing into an HRAP-SA/HRAP-SE, it will replace the functions of the Home/Guide/Turbo panel. You should gut the stock Hori PCB (cut and keep the wires with quick disconnects on them, though). By then, the PS360 will be the primary PCB, so all buttons and stick movements will be going through the PS360 PCB. I recommend drilling in two 24mm holes on the top right edge of the plastic panel for two Sanwa/Seimitsu snap-ins for your new Turbo and Home/Guide buttons.

I also recommend scrapping the Hori’s original Home/Guide/Turbo panel and get an Art’s Hobbies plexi and printed artwork that covers empty panel’s rectangular opening.

This picture is of a stick I worked on a while ago that describes what I said about covering the Home panel and drilling in two holes (with a Fostner bit) for snap-in buttons to act as Turbo and Home/Guide, though I did not apply a plexi to this stick, just Lami-Label artwork:

How durable is the lami-label? Or do you recomend coating it with something for added protection?

sad sad news about the Q4… but its ok

i’m just concerned because I will be moving soon, how long will it take to ship after you actually get them?

I just don’t… well, care, I guess. I bought a soldering pen and everything, but I just don’t have the time or will to try it out.

With 32 lb paper, it holds up fine. My current favorite modded SE with PS360 with lami-label on it still looks good as new and I take everywhere to show off ;p Many of my sticks have lami-label on them and have no real noticeable damage to them.

Just be sure to store it carefully, preferably in an empty bag with soft padding, and it’ll last as long as you’re willing to care for it.

As for covering up holes with lami-label, I’ve never poked through the hole unintentionally. You actually really have to try to poke it out with a bit of force. Lami-Label is a cheaper alternative to plexi with paper artwork underneath. I like Lami-Label because of the shiny finish and quick application. However, if you find the correct size template for your stick, you can just print the artwork yourself without any lamination and buy the plexi to save a bit of cash.

Thanks I appreciate the response, I like the lami-label too! Thanks for the info.

Here is my stick wih artwork on it - Zero & Sigma (Needs to be MvC3 DLC!!!) were drawn by hand by my boy. I just have to clean it up a little bit, I was lazy for a moment (its my stick so its not that big a deal lol)

We’re getting them that Saturday, and shipping out at least 10 the following day, and 10 each day afterwards. They’re fairly big boxes, and my packer has to ship those with the regular orders, so I can’t overwhelm her. That said, we’ll try to get them out to everyone ASAP.

Can you mention your order number and when you’re moving? I’ll put a note to my packer to push that one up. USA deliveries via Priority Mail usually take 3-5 days at most.

The orders came in by ship and has to clear customs, which is why - in addition to Qanba holding up the shipment and customs wanting to x-ray the shipment - things are taking so darn long. This is our first time getting a direct shipment from Qanba as well. The next time will potentially go smoother.

Just wanted to drop by and say thanks for carrying the wooden TE-S side panels. I got them in a week or so ago, and have been following the video on how to get a plastic-like finish (hard to get it all done in a day or two between life/bad weather). It’s my first time doing anything with wood but having that video on the page was enough to push me to buy them, as I hate the large TE round 1 sides and love modding my sticks. Love the website and I’m looking forward to picking up a crazy buffalo shirt.

For anyone thinking about the wooden sides, do it, they look awesome.

Status of pre-order items at Focusattack.com

Hi all,

With a number of new products expected to arrive at Focusattack.com in a few weeks, I’d like to take a moment to update you on the status of those items you pre-ordered.

Crazy Buffalo T-Shirt

All pre-orders for SINIX “Crazy Buffalo” t-shirt will ship on Monday, May 23. If you pre-ordered, you will get an exclusive SINIX Crazy Buffalo pin. The shirts are still available for just $19.99, and will look fantastic when you put it on. You can pick one up at focusattack.com right now.

Akishop PS360/PS360+

The PS360+ - an upgraded version of the PS360 PCB - is still in development by Akishop. Per, owner of Akishop, specified today that they are adding a new enhancement that requires thorough testing before shipping. The additional testing is specifically to prevent the rash of problems that were present in some of the original PS360 chips. As of now, we are awaiting a more specific release and ship date. The May 31st date was speculative, based on the date that Akishop provided us back in March. All pre-order shipping dates are dependent on the manufacturer, and are subject to change.

To note, all pre-orders made at Focusattack.com will receive the PS360+ when it ships. Akishop also specifies that the price for the original PCB may go up once it ships. Keeping your preorder will ensure you receive the unit at the existing price.

You can confirm and follow the progress of the PS360+ on Akishop’s official Shoryuken.com: http://shoryuken.com/f177/-akihabarashop-jp-now-open--108982/

Qanba Q4RAF Joystick

Our original shipping date has been pushed back several times due to several issues during the transport process. They are finally docked at customs, but will now require an x-ray inspection. Our original shipping date was May 21st. We aim to pick up our shipment on May 28th and start shipping them May 30th. We will pack and ship several units each day until all pre-order items are shipped.

We will have 20 units remaining for sale at the store during our first run. Rest assured, those will ship immediately when you order.

Focusattack.com has worked with a retail supplier to import the Qanba Q4RAF joystick to the USA. This is a product that is not normally sold here, and we purchased a fairly large amount. This required that the products are sent by ship. This alone takes several weeks. We are also building a new relationship with Qanba, which means that we are prone to any setbacks and delays they had during the purchasing and shipping process. We thank you for your patience as we get these in stock and out to your home.

I’ll have more to share with you as these and other items arrive at their potential release dates. Thanks for your support!

lol - As long as you’re tight with Balrog, you’ll do him proud. Sure with I could say that about my free Guile. :stuck_out_tongue: I think you’ll love the shirt. The ink is thoroughly cured to prevent flaking over multiple washes, and laid thin so it feels very light to the touch and appears to meld with the fabric. We think it’s great for anyone, even if you’re not a Balrog fan. We’ll release more commercial-themed shirts like this over time.

Hey big thanks to you, Racerx881. Big ups to LowFierce and Donovanmyers for producing the videos you’re watching. They will be producing additional how-to videos for new products we have at Focusattack.com. Hope we’ll see photos of the finished product!

I wanted to add that Focusattack.com is entertaining ways to receive special incentives such as price discounts when you tell others about our store. We’ll have more details once this is in place.

Thanks!

When will be your next major sale Jman?

I have a PS360 that I purchased a few months ago, but haven’t installed yet. After reading this saying that there were problems with it or ones like it: should I just hold on to mine and use it, or send it back, what?

We are proudly co-sponsoring Shadowloo Showdown 2K11 the last week of June. Rest assured we’ll have a major sale on nearly all products that weekend. If we have any other big sales coming, we’ll keep you updated here, on Twitter on Facebook and on our site.
