We’ll have a newsletter out once the PS360+ is released. We’ll have over 150pcs, and while we expect the PCB to move quickly, I think we’ll have enough for a 2-3 weeks. We’re already ordering another 300pcs.
Hi all,
We have experienced a high number of fraud-related chargebacks from unscrupulous players in recent months. As a result, we’ve had to activate some additional payment fraud filters at our payment gateway.
We’ve noticed over the past week that several attempts to purchase were denied. We’re attempting to review those purchases with Paypal to determine why (currently leads to 404), but relaxed the rules a bit as we work on the filters over time. If you have attempted to make a purchase recently, but found that the purchase was denied, please try now. If you were personally affected by this but have purchased before, please let us know.
We’re still closely monitoring against possible fraud. Any purchases that seems suspect to us will be review before it is sent, and those making the purchases will receive a call asking to confirm some information we’ve received about the purchase. While most players are respectable, those that create chargebacks through fraud cost Focusattack.com a significant amount of money. Because of that, we then can’t offer new products. We’re not a huge business, so this hurts financially.
Thanks for your understanding.
Hey, do what you gotta do man. I’m sure we can wait an extra couple of minutes for our buttons and shits
I said this on facebook, but feel free to list the names of these people so they can be blacklisted from community events. I’m sure tournament organizers wouldn’t have a problem banning those who cheat the community. At the very least, you can send me the names so I can see to it that I and other modders won’t do business with these people anymore.
Thanks - I responded to your post. We find out these people several months when the banks of fraud victims contact us, so we’re uncertain whether the names or addresses of those causing fraud are accurate after the initial pickup. There are some possible legal issues in releasing names as we have to avoid by a privacy policy.
It’s not common that we receive chargebacks for fraud, but when they arrive, we lose the merchandise, shipping charges, fees for chargeback, and the original payment. It adds up quickly. We’ll be watching much more closely for potentials.
People who do this to companies within the community, or any company at all, are assholes. They should be permabanned without remorse.
True… though it would not be your fault if a list of names went missing and then somehow made it into the public domain by an anonymous poster.
When will the store credit show up per chance?
My apologies - I thought that I had added the store credit to your account. It is available now.
Hey Jman, I wanted to ask if you were going to get the solid color Seimitsu’s in time for the PS360+ by any chance?
I’m afraid not. July has turned into an uncertain month for us. The PS360+ will have its release because we now have it in stock, but we still do not have cables. We’ve had to hold off on big purchases such as the Seimitsu lineup because of sales in June and not being able to offer the PS360+ until now. We’re holding off getting the Seimitsu buttons until sometime in August. We’re sorry about that. Usually we don’t mention something until we have it in hand, but some things were outside of our control. We’ll keep you posted.
Thank you Jman. You’ve been doing this for almost 2 plus years and it’s still quality. Thanks.
when are you sellin’ ps360+? i don’t need cables i can do it by my own <3
We’ll have them starting Saturday July 14th.
Jaleel, any chance we’ll see the Sanwa 0.110 SR Quick Disconnect Enclosures come back into stock? I’ve been eying them ever since they ran out of stock, hoping they’d come back, but there hasn’t been any news about them.
In all honesty, I didn’t think any one cared about that product after offering the latex enclosures, so we hadn’t restocked it. It’s a very niche item. Let me put it back on the restocking schedule. We apologize for the delay.
Thanks Jaleel! Hopefully you guys can get this in soon.
Hi all,
I wanted to post a few reminders, notes and other things that may benefit or better inform members of Tech Talk:
PS360+
We have a confirmed release date for Akishop’s PS360+ multi-console PCB: Saturday July 14th. We should have close to 200 pieces now that all confirmed pre-orders were shipped. Unfortunately due to delays by Akishop’s cable manufacturers, we will not have any of the PS2, RJ45 to USB cables, JST harnesses, or HSB products at launch. Those items will arrive within 1-2 weeks from that date.
Per of Akishop is finally back and posting on his SRK thread. Among those posts, he is asking what top 3 legacy consoles should appear in a software update to the PS360+. To help in answering that, I created a poll on our official Facebook page with a list of all popular consoles. If you have a moment, make your voice heard by voting here:

We are sending the results back to Per this weekend. So far, Sega’s Dreamcast has taken the top spot. He is also taking feature requests. Remember, the software will be open-source, so programmers interested in expanding the feature set and console compatibility of the PS360+ will have the opportunity to do so in time.

EVO Sale?
We received a question from a fellow player asking whether we would have a pre-EVO sale to celebrate one of the biggest fighting game events of the year.
Honestly, I dropped the ball on this one. We don’t have any sales planned for EVO partly because we did not sponsor the event. We usually have big sales during events that we sponsor because more players know about it to take advantage of the savings. Selling arcade parts, there’s not much room for profit margins that allow for big sales. Even 10 percent off hurts a great deal if it’s done too often. That said, I did drop the ball. We’re going to make up for it in September.
Plexis
Coming in August is a return of our Qanba Q4RAF plexis. With Qanba not allowing us to buy their sticks direct (long story), we haven’t restocked for a while. However we have recruited a new plexi manufacturer, and will have restocks available by mid-August. To add, we’re including a six-button plexi as well.
With a new plexi manufacturer, we’re gradually restocking new plexi covers such as MadCatz extended TE. In addition, regular and full MadCatz TEs are coming, plus flavors of Hori including the VLX. We have plans for plexi and artwork customization in 2013.
Seimitsu Buttons
We hoped to offer Seimitsu buttons in July, but need to push this off until September as part of a new budgeted product launch. Going forward, we’re rolling out new products by quarter. September is the next quarter, so we will have the buttons available at that time.
Silent Buttons
This is a sticky one. Some of you may already know that the Sanwa OBSFS buttons are essentially the same buttons they have sold for years, with exception to a round foam washer that dampens the sound of the two contacting points between plunger and inside housing. Yet, Sanwa wants to treat this as a new product and charge a higher price for the units. FA is still a new business - we don’t always have room for excess, and the lack of washers in other Sanwa products limits its use.
We’re working with a company to recreate the washers and offer them for 95 cents each (or less in bundles of 8). It’s quite a bit less than the retail amount we would have to charge for the actual buttons, and you can use them in all Sanwa 30mm buttons. This includes the OBSC buttons as well. I’ve placed them in Seimitsu K and KN buttons and found them as effective as being placed in the OBSF. We don’t have an ETA for release yet, but hope that you’ll find this a worthwhile alternative.
We’ll have more to share in a week or so, including a chance to win one Akishop PS360+ PCB and HSB combo with all cables. Thanks!
Seriously Jaleel, much respect and thanks for what you do brother! So many of us are TREMENDOUSLY grateful for your store and your attention to service and detail. Thanks for crushing it man! You rock!!
The foam washers to quiet button presses would be greatly appreciated. I’m looking to get the Hori Fighting Edge later this month so we’ll see how the buttons turn out. I’ll probably end up getting OBSCs for it.
