Yeah maybe 6 is too much.
What I wanted is the that the opponent pressuring your wake up had to be aware of being hit by an invincible move and not get all the free pressure going.
I want LP palm 1200 damage … ON BLOCK!
On the real though… Im starting to change my thoughts when it comes to changing gouken for AE 2012. Right now I want fixes before buffs now.
FIXES
Make it suck the person in and gouken should be not be able to get hit by anything until the recovery frames have started.
Now ask yourself this. Are these buffs, or are they fixes. I feel these kinda fixes should be looked at first over other random buffs. I want my tools working properly. thats all I want when playing this fun fucking character!

I’d like to see the changes made from Super to AE that Capcom mentioned prior to the release compared to all of the changes made. That would give us an idea of what we might expect beyond what they’ve already mentioned.

I agree with everything except kongo sucking in. He should just be invinçible. If some can avoid the explosion good for them. I don’t appreciate getting blown up by stuff like bison cr.mp xx ex psycho crusher when i activate kongo correctly.
Well I just got paid which means I finally got the money to buy Elder scrolls Skyrim and MW3 and Ultimate marvel vs capcom 3. Its official, I will not play Street fighter 4 until december 13th from this day onward. Im going to take a break from the gouken forum until the Final change list has been released.

Basically one frame reversals, rekkas leaving you at +1 or 0 on block, Sakura’s lk. Tatsus, etc. The reversals gives so many characters an easy out and makes people think twice about mindlessly jumping in and having their way with you. Gouken has non of that. The few things we could consider reversals either come out too slowly, drops opponents, or doesn’t work properly. ALL of them leave him EXTREMELY vulnerable. You make it seem like I want a win button but really all I want is for Gouken’s moves to work properly everytime and not have all of his attacks leave him completely wide open.
We’re the only ones in the game with a 1 frame reversal as far as I know…
You’re going from reversals to pressure tools. Make an argument for one. lk tatsu is 0 on block non meaty, rekka is 0 on block when it is EX and neither are a reversal so what’s the point? Mindless? Is that what you are trying to say? Rekka got nerfed and something that is 0 on block is not so mindless.
You went from wanting a fully invincible old LP palm to saying you want tatsu to work and his other tools to work…
EX kongo stops all air attacks, cross up or not, how many other moves stop cross ups?
I never said anything about wanting a fully invincible LP palm. I don’t want mindless either as I like how Gouken makes you take your time and think about what you’re doing at all times. So I guess what I really want is better pressure tools. Guile’s are extremely frustrating because it’s really hard to open him to attacks (or mistakes to capitalize on.) I’ll fully admit my knowledge of this game isn’t very vast, and that I’m pretty scrubby, but I do get the gist of Gouken’s design as he is very high risk. I think the risk is too high personally, but I still like him.
When you asked why can’t Gouken have something near broken, we were in the midst of talking about a fully invincible lp palm…
I’m with you on tatsus needing to not drop, high kongo needing to work on all air attacks and no ground attacks with MP acting as the old punch kongo but losing to air attacks and LP being the kick kongo of old.
And seriously, it would be nice is Palms were reduced to -4 on block or something.
Really what he needs though is some low risk way or medium risk way out of pressure. Dunno. Just wish they would hurry up and release the last of the changes already.
Just a random thought: I was playing as Cody last night. Damn, he can connect ANY Criminal Upper from either heavy or light attacks. Even several cr.lps. Why do we have to struggle so much to try to combo ANY palm from other than a HP or a LP palm from a point blank light attack???
PS: The lack of info from the dev blog really worries me. If they are not testing new stuff, there may not be new stuff. -sigh-
I played vs DC Hustle last night. And I’m about ready to say fuck 2012. Hadouken startup being so ass screws over anything I try as a blockstring. There’s nothing to stop someone from being like HEY FOCUS! It’s frustrating.

If someone is constantly focusing between your cancels into fireball cancel in palm or just dash after your normal and throw.

I was telling him if someone is going to focus every normal xx fireball (where they absorb the fireball and then crumple you) you throw, start doing normal xx palm once or twice to discourage
