My friend wants to get an Xbox One fight stick for KI 1-3, Injustice 1 via BC, Marvel Vs Capcom Infintie, MK 40, and USF4 via BC that’s for certain. And maybe Soul Calibur 6 while it’s on sale for 66% off until monday 11:59 PM PDT.
We also own Switches and Wii Us I know there are 3 games on the Switch that sell Fightsticks, Pokken, USF2FC, and SF30AC, also the Wii U has Injustice 1, but other than that, are there obvious “fight stick sellers” on the Wii U and/or Switch? Enough to consider a Brook Modern Universal over a straight Xbox One official PCB? Also are there any lesser known Wi U and Switch games that get improved by a joystick enough where, if is choice is iffy, might push him to the Brook USB Universal as opposed to getting hacked a Power A Enhanced Xbox One Wied Controlelr?
PS I searched for fight Stick Wii U and fight stick switch and no obvious articles pop up, except for stuff I posted in. It’s kind of hard to set a search which doesn’t filter out your own ego when you’re loking to explore outside your tange, so i searched for an appropriate topic to join, but none come up, hence the new topic.
Because the Switch thread is a VERY general Switch thread and not a specific “sell me on whether or not getting fight sticks for Wii U and Switch is good for someone getting one for Xbox One anyway” thread. It’s a difference between $30-40 and $100+ for a fight board PCB. Is there enough FIGHT STICK-specific content to justify a Xbox One/Wii U/Switch combo PCB over a straight Xbox One PCB + $60 saved?
It’s better in general discussion than tech talk, because it’s not really tech talk. The fundamentals of wiring an Xbox One stick and a Brook USB Universal is similar technically. This is not a fight stick mechanical/electrical other builder question. This is an economic/sales question.
And the Fighting game discussion is too limiting, because there is more to fight sticks than just fighting games. And if you judged Wii U and Switch by the fight games alone, it might not be worth it alone, especially considering the biggest fighting exclusive, Super Smash Bros, requires an Analog stick to play right, so there goes the digital fight stick sales point.
Maybe there should be an “other/non-fighting games that do well with a fight stick” category, like vertical shooters, maze games, 2D platformers, etc… One by itself is probably not enough of a reason by itself to justify a $60 upcharge from Xbox One to Brook USB Universal, but many in combination might be worth it.
You see me out here wearing crop tops and allowing snuggle talk?
FOH.
Post in the appropiate threads and subsections. Your long threads are fine but I’m not dealing with you misusing sections and then coming up with 20 paragraphs on how you’re supposedly right.
