Yeah, that’d be great. It would sort of be like that tier list maker webapp, but for matchup charts. I could see that being pretty useful.
Super Sho Fighter isn’t as good as ST :D. I’ve never played Karnov’s, all I know is that Ray more or less poops on everyone in that game.
That and at least Sean and 12 are fun to use/ able to win. Tizoc vs Kevin might be the first 9-1 match up I’ve ever played. The bad characters in 3S are bad but useable, the bad characters in Garou are borderline unusable. Rock is a terrible mixture of Terry and Geese that has virtually no high low game, a game glitch makes Tizoc’s command throws useless plus his moves to close distance are bad to begin with and Freeman is just all around bad as a character.
I’ve got automated templates for about 4 games now. I’ll probably cook up a “how to” on my site this weekend.
For all the flak 3S gets for it’s balance, it really isn’t that bad thanks to the parry system. I believe that Rikimaru has stated that, despite what the match up charts say, the game does not really have any true 8:2s thanks to parry.
Play Karnov. It’s a pretty good game.

What do you all think about people saying “Games look stagnant?” and that they’re boring to watch. Maybe it’s the competitor in me speaking but I always think that if people want to see a low-tier in Top 8 late in a game’s life that they should be the change they want to see in the world. Put the time in and be the person who brings hype to the game by beating Chun, Ken, Yun, with Alex. Be the person with the badass Chun-Li, Sentinel, Arthur team that blows up Morridoom, just don’t sit there and complain the game is boring.
What game or series do you guys think did throws the best. I personally prefer any game that doesn’t give you a really good mixup or combo off of it. I feel throws in ae are way too strong, especially for vortex characters. Umvc3 and Blazeblue are annoying with the combos off of them.
Case in point: An Alex, Remy, and someone else (forget who) made Top 8 at the last SBO at 3S.
The original Karnov for NES was a fantastic action game. Garou is underrated, I’ve never been real into the Fatal Fury series but Garou MOTW is quite awesome and I enjoy it more than 3s. As for what is the “better” game, no matter what u r comparing, the better game is whatever u enjoy most. Comparing flaws (all fighters have them), balance, etc. is meaningless. Cause at the end of the day, fun factor trumps all and that is subjective.
Garou did a better Job implementing a parry feature.
3s had to repurpose a lot of basic conventions to suit the needs of the parry mechanic. Garou on the other hand was still able to have all the principles of classic SNK style play in the way of small jumps and aggressive rushdown without a serious compromise.
I love 3s though don’t get me wrong…but between garou’s faster pace and considerable lack of stupidity in the form of chun or yun I think it’s a far better choice.
Garou and 3S are both fun games that have broken characters.
3S- Pick Chun, Yun, Ken, Makoto, Dudley, Urien or Akuma if you want to win. Don’t pick 12, Sean or Q.
Garou- Pick Kevin, Jenet, Gato, Grant, Kain, Jahe or Terry if you want to win. Don’t pick Tizoc, Rock or Freeman.
I will say that I believe Just Defend makes charge characters more viable in Garou.
I always hear Garou being mentioned as one of the best fighters ever made. How does it differ to KOF? I ask because it looks almost identical to KOF.
Completely abandoning Fatal Fury’s signature mechanic is not a serious compromise?
Pacing, movement, mechanics, meter and everything si different if you take more than a second to look at it and not be an idiot.
And Freeman is still capable of winning shit in Garou and has before over in Japan. Also Breakers doesn’t ahev any truly terrible characters, Sho is just one of the most ballin Top Tier eveer, still feel comfortable fighting him with Dao or Condor than I do most other lower tier characters in other FGs.

Freeman can win, any character in a fighting game can win, some have to work more than others.
I agree with you on Breakers, it’s just most matches I watch on Youtube are Sho vs Sho or Sho vs Tia. I also think that Dao-Long is awesome.

As for the Garou talk even Colossus a Tizoc player won a few tournaments in Japan more so than KSK did in 3s. There is also a Hotaru player beat Kevin in grand finals of an Eclipse of SNK tournament which is a major.
MotW Terry still played like Terry(just with better feint cancels). Hardly anyone used lane changing anyway as it was a free unblockable hit in Real Bout.
A3 V-Ryu isn’t the same as either. SF always changes alot between installments anyway.
