Its funny when you watch your matches again an you think wtf was I thinking hehe, maybe I can get some advice on some better options I could have employed.

after a FA crumple, use st.hp > rekkas or st.hp flame kick, especially EX flame kick if you go the meter. it does 300 damage vs the 186 or so that only EX rekkas do.

i think you need to apply more rekka pressure. the HP rekka can be done from just over half-screen away and then do a lp.rekka after to make it more safe if they block.

against fireball characters (not guile), after a block you can do MP or FP rekka as reversal and hit them with a 3 hit combo most of the time. akuma and gouken this may be difficult actually.

i’d try more setups with his BNB cr.lk lps rekkas combos. i see you doing lots of cr.mp x2. did you know you can do a cr.mp, cr.lp, rekkas? just don’t be too far away when you do the cr.mp.

j.mp is great to mix in with crossups. get it so the opponent doesn’t know for sure if youre crossing them up or not.

you’ll have to implement the HK CW or EX CW > LPs or FP > rekkas combo to get better. every HK CW is a combo opportunity. and once you get it down 90% of the time, the opponent will start blocking more instead of trying to mash a DP, so from there you can go into more options like a throw or a tenshin combo.

Fei’s Rekka Startup: 7 frames (all strengths)

Ryu’s Hadouken - blocked leaves him at -6 frames. He’s got a shoryuken that has a startup of 3 frames. The first two frames of that srk which happen to be invincible.
Conclusion: Don’t abuse the reversal rekka after blocking Ryu’s hado. Do it sparingly. He’s got 1 frame advantage over the startup on Fei’s Rekka.

Sagat’s Tigershot - blocked leaves him also at -6 frames. Of course, he’s also got the Tiger Uppercut you need to be wary of. He’s got a 5 frame startup of which the first 5 are invincible as well. Hence, reversal rekka’ing is not a good option.

Ken - blocked leaves him at -7 frames. I’m not even going to go into further detail. It leaves at 0 frames which means…here’s a winner who’ll suffer the reversal rekka everytime.

Edit: I’ll FADC backwards at times to keep these guys from srking me out of reversal rekkas. Like Isarus says, you got alot of options…it depends on how you approach.

Hey guys,

Last Sunday there was a major french tournament called Bushido Impact 10, each usual top french player (included Starnab) were present.
Here are 2 matches i played during the TAG tournament (my teammate was Luffy086, a Rose player) :

versus Yamazaki93 (best Ryu FR) =>

versus Sendoh (best Claw FR) =>

I’m conscious that i totally sucked after the first round of both matches, Some unconfirmed rekkas, unpunished jump-in and unsafe rekkas. Those match were mine, f***ing lack of patience.

Fortunately, we won the tourney and i didn’t repeat those errors during the rest of the road.

I’ll give you my finals matches as soon as they’ll be on youtube.

Yes congrats Evans.

He beat me in the team tournament also.

On the other hand, I won against every Sagat in that tourney including Alioune so i’m OK with that ahah. I don’t think there will be much vids of myself unfortunately.

what are you talking about? I have seen Alioune destroy you 100 times

Yeah

Damn you!:annoy: Still good work beasting on Sagats, especially that Alioune guy.

Edit: I talked to Bob (that’s his real name and he’s swedish) and I can borrow his ps3 so, StarNab, is it possible for you to do “the challenge” on PS3?

Some good matches, Ryu can always be tough when the FADC ultra is in play Ryu’s turtle up most matches after you run through them in the first round, which IMO makes it a tad harder.

Rock you are from canada? by the way if ryu turtles, it is more chip for fei :stuck_out_tongue: at least in my opinion

Haha nice shit bro…trust me, I know what you mean about lack of patience…there have been many times where I could’ve won but lost b/c I got too reckless and impatient. I guess that’s just my style ugh. Also, I never heard of you before…I thought StarNab was the only real fei long player in France. Did you recently just pick up Fei?

Hey no shame in losing to another Fei player…good job kicking Sagat’s ass!

Thx a lot Hotdawg_SKA, hehe i see i’m not the onliest Fei who have to work his patience

I play Fei since the beginning of SFIV, before yesterday i just lurked into this topic without posting, i began french tournament about 2 month ago.
I take lot of experience since this time and now i’m on XBL i level up very faster than on PSN especially 'cause each top european player are on XBL.
That’s why i’m very proud about my victory in this tag tournament, i take it like a little consecration and it encourages me to keep working !

P.S : Starnab raped me 20-2 in matchmaking before this tournament

Yes I am Shinster, and when you have Ultra you do the same thing, I am speaking from exp of playing you and 1000 other Ryu’s online

Random games online just to get back into the swing of things. Still getting used to playing after my hiatus, I’ll probably add some more after a bit of practice.
