Good stuff StarNab. Who took first? Let me guess, a Sagat player? Man watching tournament videos always gets me so pumped up but UGH…I’m sooo fricking rusty nowadays. Eversince I reached SG rank, I just stopped playing Championship mode b/c it’s so rare to ever get a fight in with other SG ranked players. These past couple of months, I’ve been only playing a bunch of newbie players in Ranked and Players matches LOL!!! I usually choose Abel against the infinite amount of Ryu/Ken players…focus fireballs to get ultra meter and then ultra through hadokens always puts a smile on my face lol. Once they start to realize that fireballs don’t work, they start doing some of the funniest stuff…lol pretty sad that I’m enjoying it so much to be honest. SIGH Don’t have much competition where I live…only my cousin who plays a decent Balrog and Bison. I think I’m just gonna wait till SS4 comes out!!!

I see you. Rekkas, low strong pressure, cw, tenshin, x-ups, fakes, cw -> flamekick guessing game…nice all-around. Watch some of those jumps and ex tenshin spacing, but overall you had control of the pace of that match. You even kept your calm under block w/o mashing out a reversal flamekick by waiting it out, seizing the opening instead with an advantageous normal, or simply back-dashing. Stay strong b/c there are stronger Ryu performances than that.
That’s how you do it. No invinc reversal? 4 or even 5fr jab? Good stuff. You saw he wanted space and just denied him the privilege…until he was near death. Then you played it cool. Very nice staying to the ground when he had ultra…only time you let up was match 2 iirc and he ALMOST scored 1 lol links, cw, low pressure, low strong use, offense, rekkas, nj.rh, quick low jab in time of doubt. Fuerte had pretty nice execution as well. He really has to get creative in order to oki Fei properly…he was using falling air throw which might work vs lk/mk cw, but after his perfect, you started mixing up your wake-up w/ some backdash here and there and resetting the tempo. Staying inside is good. Mid-range for too long and you’re liable to have him tortilla you into knd again. nice nice all around and hype crowd. btw, nice glasses

To me, the real competition is when people use guys outside high-tier! Those are always the best matches (seeing Ryu, Boxer, Gouki, Sagat matches make me 
)!

I’ll work for a recorded match against justin and after I beat him I’ll become the worlds greatest Fei Long player (there must be some sort of chance that Ill get a freak victory against him on camera)

Some matches against Kail (Rose player) recorded the other night. Played a lot of Gouken lately so my Fei was a bit rusty. Connection was pretty ropey also.
justin wong and marn couldn’t show up:sad: but gootecks, ryan hart/prodigal son and zak to name a few showed up so it was still cool. should have some videos of both my fei and honda getting owned by foreign pros posted soon.

Comments on the matchup:
The first match is pretty short. The guy has ryu in a combo but ryu was mashing reversal headbutt and the dude drops his combo. Ryu hits the 100% glitch and that round is over.
Fei comes in and starts out strong with a counter hit st.HP after teching a sweep. He gets a knock down but forgoes oki to taunt instead.
Ryu gets in some solid combos though and fei forgets to throw tech twice. No good use of chicken wing and lots of unsafe rekkas get fei punished.
It looks like Fei is about to lose but he somehow uses his new command roll into his new ultra flame kick from full screen which somehow hits Ryu who is obviously unfamiliar with this matchup. Unfortunately the ultra is unsafe on hit.
Ryu punishes with st.HK into EX tatsu winning the round. Obviously fei needs some buffs and the startup and recovery on Ultra Flame Kick is terrible. Buff Fei capcom!

That’s the longest start up and recovery for a flame kick I’ve ever seen. He’s lucky he didn’t fight Sagat.
