No I confirm with rekka 1st hit. I would have thrown the 1st hit of rekka no matter what and would have mixed with delayed rekka after.

Yes that’s what I’ve been doing later (I’ve played an other very good Viper offline the same day). But be careful, you have to dash away very quicly because she can catch you with her cr.MP if you don’t.
I hate my saved clip… I hope nobody’s using that to judge the current me.
What strength rekka did you use to link after cr.MP near the end of that vid? Is the frame data on the wiki incorrect(it says that link is impossible if I read it right)?
Also, I wanna get some matches with you some time(dictator). If the connection is good, of course.
the only way to combo off c.mp with a rekka is off counter hit, he probably used lp rekka but it is possible to followup with mp rekka

That’s what I was thinking too since the first time he did it was a counter hit. But at 10:20 he does a cr.MP that hits normally, and links a rekka afterward.
I noticed that as well which I found very odd that counter hit was not displayed again on the screen. Surely if you go into training mode and test it out you cannot combo rekka off c.mp, if so a lot of us fail at training lol

Well I think the engine missed the counter hit display on the cr.MP.
But if you do the maths, it’s not completely impossible.
If we refer to the frame data. It’s stated that cr.MP leaves you at +5, provided you hit with the very 1st active frame. But cr.MP has 3 active frames. So if you manage to hit with the last active frame , you’ll be at +7 which is exactly what LPrekka needs to link.
Just out of curiosity…
why not follow up a cr.lp xx rekka after the cr.mp? it’s relatively an easy link compared to the others and not to mention it’s more like a hit confirm as to whether you throw out the rekka or not. Range specific maybe?

One thing I notice though is that you could’ve MK CW over Dhalsim’s fireball…it seemed like he would always follow up a yoga fire with a slide so you would’ve caught him or atleast made him more wary about coming towards you.

Have to admit the reads my buddy gets are always spot on, worked for the rog dashes and also sim always backdashing on my chickenwing.
Hotdawg: yeah I forgot about the MKCW, was funny cause I went on autopilot mode during the sim match and told the people around me so they had to snap me out of it.

Took 3 tries to finally win a TV tourney and with that win I’m officially done with live tournaments until SSFIV.
Real nice. And that bastard boxer is damn patient. It’s like you’re both waiting each other to make a mistake. It’s not like it’s a “stormy” match if you know what i mean, but still thrilling just to watch it. Oh, and congrats on winning the tv.
