Fei Long Video Thread

“yo dawg, I heard you like mk cw so I put some mk cw in your mk cw so you can mk cw while you mk cw”

:u: FAIL

You forgot the soysauce… -_-

what?

soysauce, bubblan. during the first tourney where JWong played and got first with Fei, one of the bigger jokes revolved around dipping CWs in Soy Sauce. just accept it XD

On another note, just watched the first vid of Wong (Fei) v Umehara (Ryu), and big props to Wong on that fight.

oh no !!! my ryu is going to get whopped by Nem again :frowning:

Just remember the 16 hit combo I landed on you the other day. I’m only going to climb higher.

Edit: Not to mention that you were dizzied too.

meh poor execution ability from the cw by justin prevented him from being an actual threat

the only thing that impressed me was ability of daigo to adjust so quickly to the matchup

I really thought I saw a flubbed input for Shien on the last jump in Daigo got in the match last night. Now that I watch it again, I’m not too sure, but I was 100% positive I saw a tenshin come out instead of Shien last night. When I thought I saw it, I was fucking livid, but watching it again makes me think that maybe it didn’t happen…

I give credit to Justin for, if nothing else, sticking with Fei even after Daigo had adapted. He was still able to give Daigo a fight and make him earn those rounds. If he had been able to land those post-chickenwing combos and was more comfortable with Fei’s anti-air game, I think it would have been quite a bit closer. Unfortunately for Justin it came down to footsies, and Daigo is really just the superior player in that aspect. Either way, it was great stuff from both players.

Actually, the fights came down to mostly failure of Wong to combo properly (of which I can relate) and the crap ability of Ryu to combo Ultra very easily from so many easy things (EX fireball, FADC DP, anti-air low DP and traded DP).

If Ultra was taken out I’d say Wong actually had the upper hand and outplayed Daigo most of the time.

That’s one of the scary thing about Daigo I guess. Similar stuff from evo with boxer?

Ryu and Sagat are up there for a reason.
Just imagine how characters like Rufus would turn out if they couldn’t link to his ultra.

Hey guys
I’ve played a few matches with a very Good Viper (Fasoll) so I recorded them.
While watching those vids, please don’t ask where my defense was. Viper jump-ins kinda scares me so I’m doing lot of stupid stuff. Anyway, it was a good shot. I did not really know the match-up (neither did him) so it was worth it.

Man, that is a nasty viper. You held your own there though, and then some also. Good shit StarNab. I found those matches entertaining as hell.

I played this Guy in G1 Finals
Very solid Viper I think he is ranked 30ish in leaderboards

I randomly encountered him in championship mode and he was not a real threat back there. But it seems he leveled up a LOT since. Looks like you’re maining Guile. I would have thought that it would be a hard match for Guile.

yeah i main guile, it was solid fight real hard solid execution, he beat me twice previously not in final tho
air throw made the diffrence i beat him in the finals when it mattered cause i saved the clip:rofl:,

Lots of high level play becomes a game of footsies. That’s why Footsies are so damn important.

Damn 09er’s…

Wait…

Shi-

Note : you got 16 hits because i got dizzied otherwise you won’t be able to do it :stuck_out_tongue: gyahahhaaa, yeah i told you i suck big time and you still don’t believe me :stuck_out_tongue:

Not bad Starnab. Good use of low forward to evade the Flamekick mix-up altogether. Work on paying attention to where Viper jumps from to block that fj.RH though. That got in your face pretty decent on wake-up almost every time. Also, almost expect the Seismo loops…especially when she has EX. Use focus more to approach her beyond that somewhat fullscreen range (although it doesn’t hit at the very edge of the screen). Another thing is, if you guess seismo up close, throw, RH CW, f+MK, nj.RH should do the trick.

Crazy how many anti-air rekkas you landed that could have gone into ultra. It is so common for Fei to hit people out of jump frames with the 1st rekka in blockstrings that I think Fei players should become adept at reacting to this with Ultra for a good 30-40%. Not sure how I feel about burning Super on this as I would, personally, rather save it to make my low forward scarier.

I saw where you got liberal as a mofo with the CW use XD Too fun

There were 2 distinct moments where I thought ? though:

  1. you had Viper in the right corner and she blocked your x-up…you landed…did s.fierce which she got hit by and went into rekkas. you hit-confirm off of cl.s.fierce? =O

  2. another x-up situation, viper tried to use ex flame to escape and you hit it from behind with a rekka. sick, but I wonder if that was your intention

You seem pretty comfortable with going into the 2nd rekka at a deep range. Care to share your thoughts on that?

Absolutely Starnab. I fought a great viper as well. Her jump in are scary many. I totally feel you.
