It’s one of those “do I want/need to guarantee meter or do I want more damage” situations. Actually really common with Nova. Now that I think about it, I’m probably going to keep going with the old one just because It will leave me closer to another meter and they’re gonna die after a combo either way so i might as well cater for the future rather than the inevitable.
Oh, I forgot about the missiles extension though. Walk up missiles OTG, call Nova, jump 6HS, whatever. This probably builds more meter but is actually legit hard. The only person I’ve seen do it consistently is a player here named Emumaki.
It is possible but really really hard. I always use M and it works perfectly, it’s a much easier timing. The little extra damage that the H version brings is not worth it given it is fairly harder. Besides as you said, Ground Photon Array into Super nova does a disgusting amount of damage so you’ll probably be killing anyway.

Got 2nd in the tournament that starts about 5:10:00… only lost to VX, Dante/Doom/Phoenix player. Point Dante was giving me so much trouble that I started Ammy in grand finals to some success. Any tips on that?
I played VX Dante in a money match at EVO and lost 5-4. Dante missiles is so fucking hard for Nova. It’s already hard to touch Dante, but when he has access to missiles, it’s even worse.

What? Playing stick? It’s a little rough getting used to using more fingers and stuff, but once your fingers get used to being at the buttons, you retain all your memory of the rhythm for the combos. Just gotta spend some time with it.

Nah as much as I may not be fund of Flux as a player, it is undeniable that he has grown and improved dramatically. You can see it in his neutral. The stupidity of his team does save his ass too often though. Watching that Moons set last night got me so mad lol. Moons #1 downfall is he respects people TOOOOOOOOOOOOO much.
Flux has improved, I agree, but everyone improves. He’s held BACK by his team tbh, in terms of improving his actual neutral game decisions and footsies to the level of other top players.
I completely agree with the Moons thing, I’ve said that to myself many times haha. But I would much rather see that flaw in someone’s play than not respecting anyone enough. Moons’ play is so damn clean, I love watching it.
