Was going to say the same thing. You can ALWAYS Cent Rush H after a Cent Rush M. And that gives you enough time to DHC to Doom.
Yeah the thing is that by using Cent Rush H you don’t get as much damage from Sphere Flame
Better than having no DHC after. I’ll have to try things out more and see what nets the most damage.
rocket punch l gives less meter but more damage
cent rush h is the opposite but gives a nice reset option
It’s really not that much less damage. It sucks if you absolutely need the kill, but in that case you also have the option of Cent Rush xx Grav Blaster allowing for the lowest possible Sphere Flame DHC. Which at Level 2 will do more damage than a higher Super Nova, I think.
Super Nova does more than lvl 2 Grav Blaster at minimum scaling. Only lvl 3 Grav Blaster does more.
Also, Cent Rush H/Nova Force does more than Rocket Punch L/Nova Force, though if you’re going to DHC than Rocket Punch L is the better option.
That’s what I’m saying about the DHC.
What does more:
Cent Rush H xx Super Nova DHC Sphere Flame
or
Cent Rush L xx Level 2 Grav Blaster DHC Sphere Flame
The latter is much lower to the ground.
Edit: iirc you can actually dhc from level 2 and 3 Grav Blaster to Photon Array at its sweet spot for more damage. I’ll check that when I get home.

Is the sweet spot like in the middle where both streams of Photon Array hits them? I know the THC with Doom/Iron Man (ala Alukard) does that which does TONS of damage.

It’s just the middle of one of the streams. For instance, the optimal damage Nova extension for Doom goes:
Call Nova assist, air Plasma Beam M, land Plasma Beam H xx Photon Array
This tacks on about 200k which is insane for that super. Idk why more people don’t do this extension by the way, unless they’re going for meter gain.
It also works with Doom/Nova and it ends with enough time to tack on another footdive. Does much more than a lvl 3.
Also, thanks i appreciate it. I played pretty lackluster the whole weekend of TFC due to not playing whatsoever and it really showed with the amount of dropped combos.
The THC works with Nova too? I’ve only ever used it with dante, or with all 3.
You can actually use Plasma Beam H. People tend to call Nova assist earlier than necessary.
But uh, can you elaborate on the PA sweet spot? I can’t seem to get it. Tried the Plasma Beam way and the Molecular Shield way.
Hmm, I’ve never been able to get air Plasma Beam H to work with Nova assist. I’m guessing you need to input the assist at 3 of 8236+H, which for me is very inconsistent. I’ll work on it though.
Getting the sweet spot after the ground bounce is just a matter of doing PB H and delaying the cancel to Photon Array slightly. Their hitbox should be aligned with Doom’s torso more or less. If you mash it out this will do more damage than Sphere Flame and gives you a way better DHC. (Sweet spot Array -> Nova Force both fully mashed gets you just under 400k every time)
I don’t think you can get the sweet spot consistently with rocks.
Holy crap. The difference in damage is disgusting. Definitely defaulting to this from now on. I used to do Nova Assist air L Plasma FootDive ADD air H Plasma xx Photon Array but this does significantly more O_O and it still allows for a DHC to Spencer…

That said his combo does build more meter, so if you can kill reliably with one bar do that instead.
If it makes you guys feel any better, I still do call Nova, st.H, footdive, Plasma Beam H because it’s super easy.
