So a lot of ppl have been asking to see videos of Nova/Doom/Ammy played well. This is maybe not the best example of that, but skip to 1:10:00 and I play a long set against a Wolverine/Vergil/Shuma player. Starts out slow for me then I go on a huge win streak… that uh, Ammy players will hopefully enjoy and everyone else will hate. Feedback is appreciated as well!

Yeah he was saying that that’s how he deals with Veil, but now that I know that obviously I’ll just block high next time and punish lol.
Yo Disco, I saw you playing the Nova/Strange/Vergil team on KBR’s stream. Seem to be on the right track. Now you need to figure out how to play Nova/bolts and work with unblockables via Vergil/Cent. Rush, which I think is probably the strongest thing about the Nova/Vergil duo.
Yeah that team was not ready for primetime hahaha. Playing against KBR’s side teams was good practice but there’s so much about bolts in general that I don’t get.
That said, it might just be me because I like fighting Morrigan, but goddamn Nova/Bolts shits on Morridoom so hard in my opinion. I was already confident with my main team but I feel like it’s even easier with Bolts.
New Nova/Doom/Strider stuff. Easier Ways of Preserving your ground bounce which leads to utilizing both assists in your combos. Lots of damage for nothing.
Can’t test it yet, but I’m almost sure there’s a Nova/Doom/Dante variation for this. If someone can find it, it’d be great. Currently can’t play much due to circumstances
I’m thinking something like:
Fly loops, into S + Jam Session, TK Javelin, jump j.S, bounce, Doom extension.
Yeah this video inspired me to find something similar with Cold Star/Plasma Beam. Corner only but kills at least Morrigan/Wolvie/Joe. I’ll post a vid later.

Thanks guys. Knew you guys would appreciate it! I was actually trying to do another combo, messed up, and then realized I preserved the ground bounce. I was like o_o. Even after years, I’m still learning new stuff.
FORREAL. Like I been in the lab finding crap to do with Nova without Spencer. When you force yourself to not play Nova Spencer, you find out characters give him so many new options. Nova actually has so many solo options as well. His sweet spot in terms of solo damage is about 710-740. If you cannot consistently get that damage off of a Nova confirm, in the words of Kevin Hart…“You gon’ learn today”

Nova started out as one of my counterpick points for my Doom/Dante shell, but after all this stuff I’ve seen done with him I can’t help but make him my main, and I haven’t regretted it yet.
Chalk up another win for reset teams!!
You know I saw that on Reddit and it gave me ideas of utilizing Rocket Punch L in resets, however, that video in particular…I feel those resets aren’t very good. You can likely mash out of them or tech forward or just block and delay pushblock out.
Regarding Marvelo’s preserve ground bounce combo, I tried this with the Doom/Dante shell…
…to no avail.
My combo goes something like: Nova Fly H loops into:
S + Call Dante, TK Javelin, j.S, f.H, call Doom, Cent Rush M, Rocket Punch LxxHyper.
The double assist extension works, but it doesn’t seem practical unless you want to style or something. You can’t DHC using this combo since you use Doom as the final extension. I tried ending with Rocket Punch M for the Nova double hyper deck, so I can still DHC to Doom, but the hitstun is a bit too much so the opponent pops out from the Rocket Punch M.
I’ve basically given up on this for now, but if someone else can find a way and tell me it’ll be appreciated
In my BNB you can always Cent Rush H after Cent Rush M, even if it’s on a Plasma Beam extension it’ll give you enough time to DHC into Doom. The timing is stricter but in this case necessary.
