I mean he didn’t use any of thors special moves, just tri-dashing and hit-confirming off assists and stuff. After a while he even stopped going for the MH resets.

Yea I saw him catch the point character + assist alot, and he still went for the reset instead of Tornado. Got a lot of wtf moments from me.
Also he barely used Mighty Strike. Regardless he still gets major props for taking that shit and putting Thor in a winning team.
That HK assist did some major work though. He landed sooooo many Thor combos because of it. Honestly EVERY character can greatly benefit from that assist. I can’t think of one character who wouldn’t benefit from it in some way. It’s awesome for GTFO keepaway, and for rushdown pressure.
Fun to see Thor winning a tourney, even if it was sort of Justin trolling everyone. It goes to show, though, that Thor DOES have solid basics if your movement is good. I’d love for Justin to decide to stick with Thor and learn how to really use his Mighty Strikes and all the reset technology this forum has developed, not to mention ways to gravitate away from relying on such a powerful assist. Guess we’ll see what happens. Still, very satisfying (and validating) to see.

You were on the stream last night when I said Thor has an infinite and you were like what infinite. Well I’m telling the world he kinda sorta does. It requires no assist, doesn’t do alot of damage but it’s fun to watch though.

People use the word infinite way too much. People see an air loop where you do the same thing a few times (like Weskers M,H,Sx3 or 4 if you time it well enough) and they think it is an infinite. Either that or it is a 100% combo with X factor which they think is an infinite. I am starting to doubt people really know what the term “infinite” actually means. I really hate the term semi-infinite… I mean WTF is that? Almost an infinite? Doesn’t make much sense… it either is or isn’t.

Hey thor thread, finally was able to hit a couple of his resets and man doing that is so damn satisfying lol 
but what would you say are his best uses for mighty spark so far.
Im happy J wong won a tourney with Thor… But man that guy plays a basic ass Thor. Im not hating just saying after watching FMR and Royal Flush play Thor the way they do I expected a LOT more from J Wong. I think he only did ONE mighty strike the entire tourney … Maybe two. I just hope there isnt a Thor Bandwagon after this … if you didnt play Thor from day 1 stay the heck away. Now that I think about it… the kind of work that it takes to play him well im pretty sure there wont be a surge of new Thor players.

Can anyone give me any tips or information I should know about this reset, or maybe even another reset for me to practice?
Here it is: You air throw your opponent and when they’re on the way down you jump up then hit low, mid, mid, jump, low, mid, mid, jump, low, mid, mid, high. Another combo from the throw I found you can jump up then low, mid, mid, high then before the opponent hit the ground hit special into your air combo of your choice. Toke me probably an hour to mess around with it. It’s probably not going to be effective in tournaments as it lack hit damage. It’s practically for styling. Also I found you can simply throw and as soon as you see 2 hits when your opponent hits the ground immediately do mighty thunder for a 6 hit combo that does probably 35-40 percent damage. Surely you guys can mess around more with the throw to find more juicy stuff. ENJOY!
