Theres absolutely NO proof that justin fixed that match so his buddy could win, and he stated specifically that he didn’t. All we have to go on is the performance we saw, the two of which looked pretty similar. In fact, its pretty obvious that Justin put up a hell of a lot more fight than chris G did.

These events are all grassroots driven by players, tournament organizers, local streamers, local venues and regional communities from which they are hailed. All the players that compete at these events work real hard to get there placing and those top level players that travel to all these events mostly do so out of their own pocket at high risk of not getting their money back. Who are you, or anyone for that matter, to dictate some FALSE sense of entitlement over how they choose to play the games they compete in? Did you pay for their travel, their venue, for the lost cost opportunity to apply all that training time into something else? NO. You spent a few hours watching a stream reaping the benefits of all these players hard work and cry like a bunch of 3rd graders when you feel “cheated.” Make all the bullshit reasons and excuse on why you hate on Chris or other players in the FGC. They all want 1st place. A losss is a loss no matter how it happens. There is only 1 -1st place. Its all this hate that erodes communities and creates friction and barriers between players. They just want to play and win and all the stream monsters want to be entertained at all cost… FREE.

All this time I argued that it had nothing to do with stream monsters and you keep bringing that up. You don’t have to compete for the entertainment of viewers: you do it for yourself and for your fellow players. It’s bigger than that. I’m basically trying to defend an ideal here.
I was honestly not at all bothered by ChrisG giving up twice and I don’t think the EVO staff needs to do anything about it, unlike the topic starter. That said, it bothers me when people see something like that and think it’s alright. It’s not about whether the players are giving the stream a good show (which, ironically, it’s what ChrisG claims he was trying to do), it’s about whether they actually believe in the competition, in trying your best. I mean, what’s it gonna be? Every time BALA enters a tournament, everyone else will just give up?
And saying that I’m hating on ChrisG is really going too far, I’ve been trying to give a fair point of view. I understand it bothers people when random internet posters say things about people they know personally, but try to read what I said without that bias.

It doesn’t really matter what statement was issued about Justin’s yellow card. This is a completely different scenario, Justin had the means to manipulate the grand finals, win, lose, split the pot, bump up Noel’s seeding points etc. Chris G had no way to effect the outcome of grand finals at all, his options were play and lose or forfeit and lose. You can’t yellowcard him over fucking around for the hell of it.
Forfeiting is lame and so is dicking around. Either would have pissed off the stream monsters, so fuck it at least he gave the dumb twats something to waste their time crying about for however long.
