I need to know by today so I can let my folks know how many people will be staying in our home for the weekend. All you’d have to help pay for is gas really. My house will mean free housing, and food I imagine will probably be half on you and half my parents being chill. I have room for 2 in my car right now, so please be fast about it if you’re interested.
Thanks to all who made it out to the MSUM event yesterday; I apologize for not posting about it in advance, as I only learned about it the day before the event. As far as games on SRK, there were tournies for SSF4 and MvC3; I personally had to take off after SSF4 but it sounded like MvC3 had a similar turnout (18 entrants for SSF4). There was no entry fee, but still prizes for the top 3 players, so kudos to the tourney staff for pulling off a successful event. The venue (“The Underground” in the MSUM Student Union building) was great, and having the projector for the stage matches really lent to the atmosphere and made it feel like a major event. Any minor technical glitches that came up were also handled quickly, and things didn’t finish too far behind schedule.
After talking to a few folks at the event, I’m hoping that we can get some additional folks interested in Sunday SSF4 casuals. You can check earlier posts in the thread for additional info on when/where we meet, and be sure to post up or hit up my earlier posted contact information if you have any questions.
Thanks to everyone who showed up for casuals yesterday! We had a really great turnout for the first time in a while, and there were some awesome games played of both SSF4 and MvC3. I’m hoping that we can keep the momentum going next week, so please post up if you have any questions about attending.
Also, please note that there is an MvC3 event on 5/1 at Section 9 in Fargo. Please check this thread for detals.
Hey guys there’s a tournament in Fargo this Sunday. Anybody not from Fargo going? I could use a ride back to GF that night if there’s somebody actually going that’s not Fargo/Moorhead.
OMG community in ND! YAY so nice to get in touch with someone at least at little close to me. I’m in Bismarck and would love to play in some SSF4/ MK9 tournaments one of these days. Anyone interested in hooking up online and playing got both XBL and PSN(when its comes back up). Let me know and Lets FIGHT!

Well, aside from the group that usually meets on Sundays, your other best bet would be the 3rd Strike machine at This Skate and Snow or Section 9. Give either of those a try if you can.

Hey guys, anyone able to help promo the hell out of this tourney on Saturday? I like the venue fee idea but it’s only gonna pay off if we get a good show. Put it this way, a 2nd place marvel winner would barely make his money back if only 10 people showed like last time, so we’re gonna have to make it a big one. Saturday instead of afternoon on a sunday though, that helps a bit. Seeya guys there!

I’ll be there! Being surrounded by fishermen and farmers leaves little of opposition around here. I’ll bring my town’s entire scene with me. All two of us. 
Wow very glad to see a scene building in ND. I’m in Bismarck. I mainly play mk9 but I do play them all. Just not at the moment with this flooding going on. Everything is packed up. I’m sure I could get a few people to come with me for some future events.
