Up until you leave the vault it’s kinda lame but after that the game and improves a lot and that goes double for the visuals.
There is a nasty glitch with the PS3 version that’ll freeze the game when you get a friend invite or message on PSN.

The lock picking mechanism is fucken awful on pc. I end up hitting f5 forcing the lock, then hit quick load if it fails.

Tip for hacking. If a lot of the passwords available have similar characters, (I found one that had HACKING, REARING, JOUSTING, and FEARING as passwords) you should click on one of them. If they don’t say 3/5 in that instance, you can immediately discount everything that has four letters and then ends with ING.

The lock picking is mad easy just tilt the left stick slightly and the door opens. I really wish my guy could run faster it’s hella annoying and has anyone tried 3rd person mode? It’s really shitty.

Lunch box and bobblehead are surprisingly durable and will definitely last for a while.
Just played it for a bit on the 360. Wow! This thing runs smooth, play well, and feels like a Fallout game. I am very impressed. I just left the vault, and did a couple missions so far. Killed some random big beast (from a distance).
This game feels VAST. Once I saw all the perks, and what not I was actually a bit overwhelmed. I can not wait to explore this game more.

This does kinda feel like oblivion, but I think people should try this out anyways. Also, I think lock picking is great on the PC. I just finally got hacking down.
Right now I’m playing an all hand to hand character. Few things are more fun than punching someones head off.
Just blew up Megaton. Its even more awesome in 1080p. Is it just me or is it kind of a bitch to kill things? I’d rather go hand to hand then shoot stuff.
