Finally buying this on Friday, almost 6 months after I asked for it as a christmas gift xD.
So how is the DLC? I’m probably going to get broken steel so I can level up more, but I’ve heard its all pretty short, which makes me hesitant about the pitt/anchorage
I’m not going to have tens in everything. It’s just not necessary. I maxed out all my stats in Morrowind and ended up being so broken that the game became boring as shit.
I never thought about Action Girl. Thinking about it, Life Giver might be cool too just as a filler perk. How good is Solar Powered?
I could be wrong but solar powered doesn’t seem all that useful unless you have low strength (like under 7).
Since you have some empty slots cyborg is a pretty good choice to build up your natural damage resistance (goes great with toughness and some misc. quest related perks- don’t want to possibly spoil lolz).
I’ll try Cyborg, then. Wonder what else I can use…
Yo, the Broken Steel expansion enemies, are no joke. Keep in mind I’m playing on Very Hard(FPS heads), so it’s kind of skewed.
Enclave Hellfire(dont remember the name) - These guys got this flamethrower that hurls the flames like molotovs, and their hellfire armor is packed with defense. And these guys are rarely by themselves, they’ll come out of the helicopter with a bunch of other motherfuckers.
Feral Ghoul Reaver - they take a long ass time to drop and do alot of damage too. My strategy is to sneak close, go unarmed and try and get Paralyzing Palm, then switch to some good shit and slice them up(or run and shoot them down).
Super Mutant Overlord - these things take FOREVER to kill. Shoot the tri-beam lasers out of their hands, or you’ll die. It takes like 2 direct hits and you dead, that shit is that powerful. What I do, is shoot the tri-beam lasers out of their hands, then shoot them in the legs with the dart gun(because they try to run and pick up some new shit). Then they’ll have trouble hitting you because they swing real slow you can push them back with stuff, plus they legs got tranq’d. If you’re fighting more than one at the same time, get the weapons off of both of them first, that laser hits you too hard.
Perks - better criticals, ninja, grim reapers spirit, and paralyzing palm, are the best things I’ve got. Shit is lethal with these. I got far and close covered. The enemies in the DLC got me using manual and VATS combined now.
EDIT: oh yeah, I fought this giant tan and red scorpion, shit was big as shit. But my character was on a mountain top, so that motherfucker couldn’t climb, and I shot it with the gauss rifle like 30 times.
Is Power Armor worth the trouble?
^Install anchorage and start the game from scratch, you can get it at level 6 or even lower.
I haven’t finished the Pitt yet, downloading Broken Steel now. Haven’t played this game in a while.
I’m not going to get any of the DLC until I can get it all at once.
I never really use the power armors, even when I have a completely unarmed/melee character, I’d rather go with the lucky ranger armor I get from the Riley’s Rangers or the stealth armor from Anchorage. (This is on hardest difficulty, never really needed the power armor). It’s too heavy so it reduces the amount of loot I can carry so much.
My favorite armor in the game is standard-issue Combat Armor. It’s good for combat.
Those are the only 2 armors I have my char equipped with too. The Reilly’s Rangers armor is the shit, with Red’s Bandana, and some Lucky Shades.
Yo, Clover is so dope. I run my character in there and paralyze, then Clover just be slicing them up. Clover is bananas with the shishkebab.
My favorite armor is Vance’s Longcoat Outfit and Shaddy Hat. Leather armor keeps the longcoat good but I dont know what to use to repair the hat. I would like to get that stealth armor from the anchorage dlc but thats the only one I dont have.
I just finished up the pitt and it was ok. Not worth 800 ms points, it should have been 400.

Fallout 3 DLC confirmed for PS3 and 2 new DLC’s have been announced.
Mothership Zeta sounds epic, if only for the alien power cells for my alien blaster.
Man what is with all the DLC? They want me to give my life to this game.
I already sold my soul to the devil to get the first ones, hopefully he can make an exception and let me get the next 2.
Tesla yes, everything else not really. Reilly’s Rangers armor is one of the best in the game and it isn’t power armor.
I’m about 25 hours into my second playthrough. Co-sign on Broken Steel enemies being no joke. Working my character into 100 skills and 10 for specials on everything. I didn’t know the mysterious stranger could show up in Anchorage. Guess he doesn’t like Commies 
Big Town also glitched on me and everyone died lol. Also, they definitely fixed that aiming issue I mentioned a while ago.

Grabbed explorer for my 21st perk. Its okay, you can’t fast travel everywhere but there’s no way in hell I’m gonna find that many locations on my own.
Is Mysterious Stranger a perk worth getting? I asked once before, but never got a solid answer.
