I need to get Charon’s Shotgun with my new character.
3rd person shoulder is very good, and perfectly accurate no change. I’m playing through PC version like this, and I dont use VATS 97% of the time.
^this was before your edit. oops.
Use Educated as first perk, use some of those Intense Trainings(for strength and a couple for luck) earlier, get Silent Running, get Better Criticals,. skip: Swift Learner, Lead Belly, Fortune Finder, and Scrounger outright don’t worry about those perks. If you’re going melee, switch Explorer for Ninja.
There are some items and gear you can wear that will increase you luck, so just using intense training on luck once or twice is enough. You want your luck and strength to be good, so you can get the most out of hits and so you get critical hits. Better Critical and Ninja both help out the power a critical hit deals. Pyromaniac will greatly help out the shishkebab making it dope with criticals and the power.
The way I play right now, my only character is Energy Sniper and Swords, with grenades and landmines. All sneaking. I don’t have a midrange, other than the grenades and landmines.
I don’t sneak. Ever. I hate stealth because I suck at it.
Fortune Finder is the shit, and honestly, I refuse to let go of that perk. Scrounger is debatable.
The reason I have Lead Belly is mostly because of role-playing. I write stories for my characters and everything. My Fallout 3 character is a polygamist who was born a human mutate with sky-high radiation resistance. I might toss in another Intense Training instead, though. Not sure.
Here, how’s this?
Starting S.P.E.C.I.A.L.:
Strength: 6
Perception: 3
Endurance: 6
Charisma: 9
Intelligence: 9
Agility: 4
Luck: 3
Perks:
Level 2: Intense Training(STR)
Level 3: Intense Training(STR)
Level 4: Educated
Level 5: Comprehension
Level 6: Fortune Finder
Level 7: Demolition Expert
Level 8: Intense Training(LUC)
Level 9: Toughness
Level 10: Strong Back
Level 11: Intense Training(END)
Level 12: Pyromaniac
Level 13: Fast Metabolism
Level 14: Lawbringer
Level 15: Intense Training(END)
Level 16: Better Criticals
Level 17: Intense Training(LUC)
Level 18: Intense Training(LUC)
Level 19: Intense Training(END)
Level 20: Ninja
Pretty cool setup.
I had played on the 360 ver of the game for a lil bit(char was like Mad Max), then had sold it and I got the PC ver and changed up what I did(cause I used VATS all the time on 360 cause of the controller). My fallout 3 character on PC is like a mixture between, MGS4 Raiden, Samus, and Rolento.
awesome game… ps3 got screwed wit the no DLC though
Thanks. I like it too. My character is going to wear power armor and her weapons will be the Shishkebab, Combat Shotgun, and explosives. Tagged skills are Explosives, Melee Weapons, and Repair. Repair goes through the roof immediately. I love that skill so goddamn much.
Holy shit. I just realized I put over 30 hours into this game in under a week. Time to stop playing this and get a summer job…
Ah fuck it, I just bought both DLCs so that should hold me off for another week.
I have a jack of all char, can do alittle bit of everything but not great at anything.
I like specializing in every game of this kind that I play. Usually it’s being a close-quarters bruiser. I just started my new character and I already have a Combat Shotgun and the schematics for the Shishkebab. I’m level five with two Intense Training perks in Agility, the bobbleheads for Strength and Medicine, and the Rad Regeneration, Hematophage, Comprehension, and Educated perks. The first skill I’m taking to ninety will be Repair, no doubt in my mind. I haven’t decided yet, though, if I’m going to get Scrounger or another Intense Training(Agility) at level eight, though. I’m leaning toward Scrounger for the ammo and cash flow.
if you really need caps, just complete the Reilly’s Rangers quest. then speak to Reilly again to do the geomapping unmarked quest which gives you 30 caps per location marker on your pip-boy’s world map. just be sure to talk to Reilly again after receiving the geomapping module to receive your first batch of caps then come back again later whenever your feel like it after finding more locations. if you find atleast 100 locations for the trophy/achievement that’s 3000 caps right there. and this game has over 150 marked locations fyi.
I need a steady flow of caps, which Scrounger and Fortune Finder provide.
Well, if you are playing the good karma route you could also collect fingers. Plenty of raiders/enclave/outcasts to kill so you’ll rack up the caps pretty quickly.:nunchuck:
I do Fortune Finder because I need money badly in levels one through thirteen. Once I get Lawbringer, that’ll just be more money in the bank.
New DLC is rape.
How are you playing it, it’s not even out on Games for Windows yet.
Its on xbl and from what I have read it must be available for pc. I read that its busted on pc sorta. I’ll just wait a week or so then I’ll get it.
Damn, well I guess in the mean time I can finish the main story, so I can just jump right in. I had planned on just getting Broken Steel before finishing the game, because my char is already at level 20.
what up, J?
How you doin man?
I’m just trying to ride till August and use my super G.I. Bill.
