Fallout 3

I think it should work with player, because that’s the name of the object.
You’re applying the “additem” method to the “player” object.

I’ve found this on gamefaqs:
player.additem 0000000F “XXX” Replace “XXX” with the amount of caps(money) you want.
So i guess you shouldn’t type the brackets, as fishjie said.

It’s pretty easy to get your karma back to evil (steal a lot of stuff), get Jericho, then just repeatedly give one of those homeless guys some purified water until your karma goes back to Good. Purified Water is infinite I think.

Ok wow…so I just got a level up…but it didn’t bring up the screen to select my skills or my perk. This game is really buggy…

I even reloaded and still…maybe it has something to do with changing the game difficulty to very hard right before the fight that I got a level up in?

Sometimes the level up options screen doesn’t come up until you are no longer in danger.

I really wish you could get a robot party member. It seems only natural that you could.

the sergeant outside of the robco factory??

You can.

(well i think…i couldn’t cause i played a low karma cannibal char anyway)

I too have a monster character (cannibal, CHA1, big guns, explosives) is there a way to join the family?

Also, how do you get the bot? I’ve made all kinds of characters and the guys always says “he doesn’t like the look of you.”

You must have your karma level at neutral to be able to buy Sergeant RL-3

Here’s some more info about the available party members, including how to maximize your party size:

Cool, i’m currently making a monk type char (neutral karma, hand to hand, etc.).
I’ll have to get it then ^^

woohoo, i got dogmean, charon, seargent rl-3, and dogmeat all on my team at the same time.

<–level 20, Iron fist

well, the PC mod kit finally came out.

Hopefully the DLC isn’t too far behind. I’ve pretty much vacated the wastelands

This dumb ass tamponic dog died on me like Sounder. Little stupid dickhole jumped in some water and wouldn’t get out. I kept telling him to come with me or go to Vault 101, but he’d just reply and continue to swim around in circles. What a dumbass…

Little bit of a bump. Anybody know how to use the GECK? I can’t figure out what the fuck I’m doing…

beat this game a little while ago, level 18 I think, mostly used small guns. I think I suffered pretty badly from “what if I need it later syndrome” when it comes to ammo and health stuff. I mean, I used the fatboy (that you find at GNR) once (in that particular battle). maybe like…2 bottle cap mines (carrying around at least a dozen) and I never used nuka grenades despite making like a dozen of them. Piles upon piles of buffout, psycho etc. (used plenty of stimpacks though). I was carrying a lot of weapons, despite using shotgun/hunting rifle for 3/5s of the enemies in the game…I wish I found the sniper rifle earlier or invested more in energy weapons. Scoped magnum is cool. I’m probably going to go back to this character to finish up all the stuff I didn’t do…I had no clue you could even get followers until i got to the citadel…at which point I was like…mmm no thanks butch lady, you’re probably going to hog my exp.

Playing through with an evil ninja type…not a very good build, should have chosen melee OR unarmed…sneak isn’t very useful for attacking up close…I did manage to get a shishkabob pretty early, which having a flaming sword certainly makes me feel like a ninja, the big fuel tanks kind of kill that feeling. 3rd person sucks anyway. 6 levels in I’m debating scratching this character (I did what I wanted to megaton) in order for a better build…I’m thinking big guns as a secondary weapon…forsake charisma entirely?
I’m also thinking of doing a nerdy gordan freeman type…guns…science…charming good looks, impeccable luck…explosives.

I’ve started a half-dozen games, and I’ve figured some shit out.

  1. Make sure you put INT up to at least 8 when you’re first creating your character, then dump the rest into strength (for melee), agility (for small guns) or whatever base stat it is for big guns (for big guns) and dump the other two points there. The number of points for your abilities makes it so you don’t have to worry so much about having low base stats in any given character, since you can make up for it later with perks and/or the higher number of points you get for abilities.

  2. Despite this, if you like having money (like me), it’s rough going early on. Stuff like extorting more money from Lucas/Red for defusing the Megaton Nuke/saving Big Town from the Super Mutes will start you out with 1000 easy caps…but it’s a bitch if you don’t have high speech and/or charisma.

  3. Having high barter is great…but you’re going to be pumping a lot of your points into science and lockpicking.

about Homicidal Stuckey

[details=Spoiler] NO! Don’t do it! If you’re still “In”, you will get lit the fuck up. If you’re viewing him…her? from the outside? No dice. S/he’s basically immortal.

…homicidal bastages! [/details]

Yeah I already tried while I was “in” and got fucked like a MLK Jr. BLVD whore. It pisses me off that I can’t get him after the fact on the outside though. SHIT!!! Nigga fucked my karma up, chief.
