imma tell you guys like this. this whole thread is a very good attempt by NKI to revive the ST scene. props brother, and props to cigar bob for his continued cooperation. fmj, and the rest of you for all your input. im gonna post a few things to let people in on the truth of OG SF.

graham was a top player in ST days, and im sure he can hand any new school player their ass for free. not shit talking, just fact.

alex wolfe was imo the best player in nor cal during the ST days. in my prime i played ryu vs alex’s dhalsim like 30 games or so, and he wound up beating me by a 1 game margin. 
we were playing for money and he finally quit after getting up a buck bastard!! j/k
basically these two comments = wolfe brothers were hella good, and even though i hated nor cal, they deserve their props.

jeff schaeffer does not play this game at all, and is no where near his prime, but 100%, he can smoke all new school players anytime, anywhere. when jeff was in his prime, he was always top tier, no one could touch him besides me and tomo in the ST and prior ST days.

you might ask why i am posting. basically to resolve the mess and stop any flaming that isnt needed. on another note, for you people who think you can just practice up a bit on a console of a game that is this old, get a hint. you cant play a game for over 10 years and expect someone to change formats and go play a “changed” version and be comfortable. its really senseless to argue who is best at such an old game, and to be honest, no one really cares. what people do care about is playing good games and not having these chumps talk smack about thinking they can beat so and so… bottom line, ST is a game based on knowledge, and on a rare occasion, overall gaming skills can overcome knowledge. but as of right now, the true ST players from past can work over and new school team.
to end this thread, i would like to make this challenge. valle, choi, cole, shirts, and myself vs any 5 for any amount of cash you like. 10$ a head, 100$ a head, whatever you want. i would gladly swap out any of the 5 on this team for alex wolfe, graham wolfe, jeff schaeffer, tomo ohira, and/or thomas osaki. dont come in here making up stupid shit like ill play if you swap him for him, or this and that. this is the ST team, if you can find 5 players that wanna donate to any of us, go ahead, until then, im sorry, just cant get up for the so called challenge. no personal insults intended here, just stating fact. we are all getting older, games are cool, but not life anymore. you wanna man up and take the challenge, post your team of 5 and lets do this. no one can step up and say they are TOP in ST because the game is really old, and on any given day, any of the top top players can win. bottom line. put up the cash or shut up time. thanks guys
