Depends on what I settle on for a dvd dual layer, separate dvd’s for games but it will be reasonably priced and available 1 month after evo

As far as seperate costs to cover, seperate staff involved and seperate dvd plans. That is what you asked about, had you asked if the ENTIRE EVENT was seperate from evo, the answer would be of course not.

Well each and every person that is coming to evo will pay $20+ for regestration. Plus $10+ for each game they enter in at evo.
BYOC is a freeforall. As long as you pay for the reg fee you are allowed to play any games you would like and hold what ever tournies you would like.
As far as cutting them in. I feel that we are putting enough out on this event. Building 5 cabs, transporting them to evo in a U-Haul, Buying or Borrowing arcade boards, aquireing recording equipment and taking 3 days off work plus the weekend for the three of us. I feel like my tournies will draw even more ppl for EVO. Which will increase the Regestration fee and more $$$ to Cannons/EVO. Plus no one on the evo staff have any investment in any thing that we am doing. This is all going to fan run and fan financed.
Not to mention if I want to do this again next year i need to see a financial gain for me to cover the cost of building 3-4 more cabs after this years evo to bring to next years EVO.
We are only playing with in the rules of EVO. And I have spoken with Inkblot via email and confirmend all my plans with him.

I wouldn’t expect profit from the 1st year of this dvd/cab, but anything after the 1st = almost definite profit. So, I would not get discouraged from this not making much money the 1st year, or you not even getting all the money you put in back. 2nd = hella more profit, because you won’t have to build more cabs, and the only fees will be uhaul/dvd processing. Goods shit though.
Ive ran the numbers and we will make out just fine.
