this game is just TOO big for the same top-dogs to remain in their spots. That was CLEARLY shown with what happen to Marn/Valle/Wong/Sanford.
I think we had a 100% increase on entries this year, and probably anywhere from 200%-300% of an increase on people who got into SSF4.

I was wondering if maybe Justin was focused more on fighting Daigo and maybe lost sight of the present? I know there is that rivalry there and he just seemed unfocused. He may also have gotten no sleep from playing all day and night so… there are a lot of factors really. It’s whatever, the man is human and Bee wanted that win… he earned it.
Either way, top 8 is full of killers. I feel like Wong kinda deserved a Gold stick but hey… maybe that was part of the pressure on him.

Gamerbee is too good. Gamerbee is not in daigo’s pool, so it can’t be daigo who beat him.
i heard it was Henry Cen who beat Gamerbee in pool play. this can be very wrong, don’t quote m on it. if it’s true. it looks like tomorrow will be a rematch.
Man… still utterly GUTTED that Tokido got knocked out. No one can tell me he’s a worse player then Floe, I don’t think even Floe can explain how he got through that match.
Given who’s left in the top 8, Daigo has this shit on lock down this year IMO. People need to remember he has a shit ton of experience playing Gamerbee’s Adon already, he will beat Bee in the final - my prediction.
Very suprised to see Justin out of top 8, but there’s a lot of very good players outside top 8 this year. On ability alone Tokido, Sanford, Marn should easily still be there.
Daigo vs Wong in the finals was good for Street Fighter and EVO a year ago. This year, I would have much rather seen newer or less known players at the top. And we’re getting it.

Why are people making excuses for Justin? There’s always a reason why people lose…just because he lost doesn’t mean you try and damage control by saying he was ‘off his game’ and reh reh reh. Better players PUT him off his game.

yeah justin got outplayed. and gamerbee played the 50/50 wake up game against him. well deserved win. gamerbee is really consistent if you watched the spooky stream after.

I am very excited with how diverse the top play has become. I remember looking at the top 32 this morning, particularly the winner’s bracket, and being taken aback by how much talent there was, and how there was such a wide variety of character specialists.
There were so many good matches last night. Hopefully, finals can live up to it.
Things that I noticed about the jwong match, Vangief being unflappable. He was just walking up and slapping rufus down.
THAT is the kind of confidence that will get you to the top, and i think it is that kind of cool headedness that makes players like daigo so good.
I would like to see vangief, mike ross, shizza, and infiltration. I hate making predictions, but i can see finals being daigo v infiltration/ricky ortiz. shrug.

SF’s Tokido, yes. He plays Bob. He’s been playing Tekken 6 since, well… Tekken 6. (Before BR).
