DreamTr: Just wanted to let you know that I totally admire your inspiration and dedication towards the Arcade scene. If just a few good men had the same dedication and understood the Arcade and its history to why it was once so sucessful then we wouldnt be in this drowning war against console. Keep it up.
On a side note I’ll be very honest I had my back on Midwest this year as I am trying to cut down on the traveling and handle things in my personal life more but damn I cant seem to let go…:sad: not yet anyway. I made a mark to let Final Round X be my last major until Evo, hell I was even backing out from ECC too but I will definetly look into MW this year. Looks like the Greyhound Warriors back! 
I think the Mystery Tourny is a great idea and this year Im honestly looking to take that no bullshit. Finals with George (JuicyG) in Hangtime was too tight. My only issue with the Mystery tournament is that you said the games were going to be chosen at random which it wasnt, near the last two rounds of the tourny and you started handpicking them. Thats a problem in itself because theres no “Mystery” to that its whatever you think we should play which in a way isnt fair. Rules for this should definetly be more textbook.
Midwest is always one of my most looked foward to going majors so hopefully yeah I’ll see everyone there.

Made the executive decision to make CVS2 console just because I am not going to be running around looking for arcade boards. There is a slight possibility we still might use the arcade version in one aspect (Finals, perhaps) but as of right now, it’s going to be console. 5 console, 3 arcade for EVO, and at LEAST 3 arcade tournaments outside of MWC.

For anyone who hasn’t been to MWC, it’s one of the longest SF tourneys period, dating back to the end of the golden age of SF. Many SF players have been championed at this tournament as part of it’s 10+ year history. The history of this tournament is so deep, that it goes way way too far back to even go into any kind of slight detail other than what I am writing here. I mean Jeez, this shit was even featured in OG Gamepro for crying out loud, back when they were good…
Ok, just found out, CVS2 has to be ALL console or ALL arcade.
I am still going to “try” and do something with arcade for it (even if it is a separate side tourney), but I fear there will not be enough boards, the game takes freaking forever, and I’m only guaranteed 3 boards at the moment, and that includes one I own, yikes= /
More info as it comes, if I can get more boards, I can still do it as arcade only. AS of right now, it’s console only.
Fuck it, I’m coming to this. Been waiting for years to goto MWC (Evo North, whatever, same thing).
Btw, try everything possible to make CVS2 ARCADE. I’m pretty sure most players will agree when I say console is terrible.
