Well I am but to get a Hotel for a night? Im rooming with someone that aint coming till Friday…so Im kinda screwed…but I have relatives in Chicago…and now I gotta contact them…
Anyone else gonna be rooming ppl for the weekend, gas is a bitch right now and it sounds a hell of a lot cheaper to pay someone a few bucks a night than make multiple drives to and from Nickle City.
everyone does realize that the hotel is only $70/night right?
and that right now there are a buttload of people going around asking the few people who have already gotten rooms, if they can share?
ever thought of trying to contact some of the people who want to split a room and splitting amongst yourselves?

hey, just letting everyone know i won’t be making it to evo north this year. even with cvs2 on console, i can’t get off work for next weekend and i don’t really have the money for the trip anyways. hopefully everyone has a great time.

Well if people are desperate for rooms on Friday or Saturday night, talk to me on Friday. We might be getting an extra room at another hotel or we may just be able to cram some more people in. PM me if you are interested.
One thing about Housing:
Chicago ppl in general doesn’t house ppl because all of us live FAR from nickels(avg. around 45 mins). The only person thats close is floe and he’s already stacked with ppl.

Not that the hotel guys are gonna care, but I think you’re only allowed a max of 4 ppl in a room with 2 beds. I guess you can smuggle the rest in or something… :tup:
If you’re going to do a team tournament, do it on Saturday. Then there can be one ST tourament each day. Plus I’m not going to be there on Friday and I’d like to play in it (a few of us would join)-

FT was the shit, well for me personally, and Chris, if he still lurks around here.
Well…sorta not really…we played marvel with low tiers and no assists when it first came out (thought it was too cheap ha).
Back in the day, I got my ass handed to by top Chicago players (Juicy, Madbooface, TonyK) and was like…“Damn, I need to get cheap too”. Needless to say, I didn’t get much marvel comp from FT anymore.
We did have a good T4 scene though. I didn’t care much for it, but got decent at it just from being around mad competition.
PLUS we had the Grid, Midway’s aborted fetus of what could have been an awesome 3rd person shooter/trackball game. I and maybe 3-4 other peeps were tops in that game, including Shiny from Naperville, The Grid Kid (who I never got to play against sadly) and this chubby 13-14 year kid who was disgustingly good.
They also had the old Dragon’s Lair II: TimeWarp cabinet that I spent a small fortune in tokens trying to beat as a kid.
