DreamTR and EVO North Hosts- Is it possible that I could run SNK tournies in the BYOC room?
This would be the main reason I am coming, to promote SNK.
I would be willing to donate my PS3 w/T5DR for use in exhange for 1-2 TVs that I could use to run my SNK setups.
If I could do this I would greatly appreciate it!

Dark Geese: There is no “room” persay, it’s just an area. I am pretty certain most of it is going to be used for the tournament. Basically, it’s nowhere near as big as the EVO Worlds, where there is enough room to accomodate for that sort of thing. You’re more than welcome to run tournaments on your own stuff as long as it does interfere with the players or the EVO official tournaments. On top of that, if someone is “playing” in your tournament, and they are due in one of the EVo tourneys, there is the possibility they will be DQed if they do not head over to their scheduled EVO game.
To the person talking about Red Roof, the posted prices are PER NIGHT.
there’s some hotels/motels near the lake cook metra stop…don’t know the prices though

infinites are not banned. instant kills in ggxx are rather worthless, i dunno why you worry about em. only use for em is strategy for fighting ABA, otherwise, it should be extremely rare, getting hit by an instant kill.
soul calibur isnt popular in the scene.
and the big 4, you ban those, then you kill the entire marvel scene for good. it would be stupid to ban em
The schedule is as follows:
Friday - Unofficial tournament day (hold all the tournaments to your hearts desire)
Saturday - mvc2/3s/tekken 5/cvs2
Sunday - ssbm/vf5/st/ggxx
Starting times will be decided by Jason Wilson.

Well I still say you said orginaly that hyper alpha would be a game, so if I end up going can I still run it on sunday since you said I could run it durning gg or whatever or something blah…

dialupsucky: You can still run Hyper Alpha on Sunday as long as it does not interfere with the other tournaments. No worries about that. The unofficial tournaments are still MWC “official” tournaments, just not EVO quals.

damn, $45 on-site fee? past MWCs was $20 on-site. why the drastic jump in price for on-site?
Because the onsite fee is for Evo, and thats why you’re supposed to pre register
im kind of on the fence about the scheduling.
im happy that friday is a non-essential day because now i might actually be able to come by flying in on friday late.
but at the same time i want to play AE because i’ll probably make top 3 easy (broken ass CE bison) and now i won’t get to. 12 noon on a Friday…you’ll get like 10 people tops.

Final Showdown: You said you werent coming in on friday? I think it would be best if you have Hyper Alpha Friday night only because Sat/Sun I dont know about anyone else but I want my 100% focus to be on the qualifiers and not anything else. Thats just me. I’ll prolly end up entering anyway. Look for my A2 Rose > your A1 Guy!:wgrin:
Sabre: Let me know the situation with VS and if your bringing the board. I’ll assume that Wilson will lend us the AE cab for an hour or two to run it. If not then hopefully one of us will have a copy of Vampire Collections and were getting more than 5 ppl this year!!! Bet it! 
Well I COULD come on friday, but that would only be if GG was sooner and not on sunday, which doesnt looks like the circumstance. Since its on sunday thats just not gonna happen. I dont have the money to stay for 3 days ethier plus people I would most likely go with cant take that much time off work… shrug. So yea sorry, id deffintly much rather have it on friday as well but its just n ot plausable.
Also acctualy this is of course if it even happens, again I dont have a working version of the game really. So… Even though I guess id be “running” the tournment I cant provide a game or system. I could maybe bring a TV if thats allowed but yea I cant even provide the other stuff shrug…
and yea a1 guy vs a2 rose sounds good. Hell acctualy maybe ill even play a3 characters… I think I can show you there still good… Well at least parry mode is. O and I dont remmeber what I said it was but its that second to last star on the first row is what lets a3 characters build meter with throws… SO i think i said wrong thing before,.
