Yo, nilcam, I’m having trouble registering to Dream Cancel. The image verification image is not loading for me, and the audio thing doesn’t work either. I don’t know if that’s a problem on my end or the site’s, but if it’s a problem with the site, I think it should be addressed so others don’t encounter the same problem.
I’m on Firefox by the way if that helps any.
Edit: Nevermind, I refreshed the register page and the image loaded.
We have 19 members! I’m glad to see that. Kane317 will be moderating the KoFXIII Gameplay board. I’ve implemented a lot of changes based on the feedback given. I’ve added a How to Play link on the homepage which directs to a page of DandyJ’s tutorials. I’ve added a Suggestions sub-forum ans folded all of the SNK games into the SNK Games subforum. The KoF games, except for XIII, are in the KoF games menu under the SNK games topic. I’m trying to figure out where to put the Matchmaking board. Thanks for all of the enthusiasm, support and ideas.
If anyone wants to contribute to the front page, feel free to contact me directly.
I don’t know about having a complete sub forum for a character, I think it’ll get real tedious if that’s the case. The way I look at it, everything I need to know about that character is in a one-char topic including the movelist, technical reference etc. That way I’m just scrolling up or click a page back instead of navigating to a complete new forum and back. Especially if I was new and was trying to learn the game and the movelist (while following the discussion at the same time), it just feels easier that way. What do you think?
The SSFIV character sub-forums along with the one’s on dustloop prove that individual character subforums are extremely useful as long as the people that are contributing are dedicated, with that said I doubt much people would want one thread to house all the information on a character because it will get severely cluttered with off-topic trash overtime throwing it out off balance so to speak, but then again we could just use the wiki so yeah it’s whatever
It works well in ON if you ask me, we’ll do the one thread way first and if it doesn’t work out we’ll switch it up, and yes, there is always a wiki (although it’s kinda redundant)–we’ll play it by ear.
Hope it’s gonna help you, now it’s time to start working on the website ! :bgrin:
Nilcam I’ll contact you in a few days about your wiki. We are building one in French for 2002um and one of my membrers almost finished doing all the movelist of the characters. If he agree, I’l send this to you so you can add it to yours.
Edit : Krazy one of the ways to create forums for each character without making to many is creating a forum per Team. A forum for Japan Team, Elisabeth Team, etc. We are doing this way on some forums were kof players are gathered and it’s working very nice.
a lot of us actually voiced opinions against having team based forums since it can get hard to find info on a neglected player of the group i.e. for the pyscho soldier team, i want kensou matchups and info but have to look through 10+ pages of athena and chin.
IMO the way I see it the character threads can be used for standard discussion (match-ups, videos, strats, combos, tips, videos, frame-data, etc) then all the vital information posted can be collected and placed on the wiki
Made this post at DreamCancel already, but figured I’d post here too.
For anyone in SouthEastern Michigan, trying to arrange timing for SNK nights at Gameyard in Garden City.
Does anyone have preferences of day of the week, time, games played, and a different venue if you guys know/prefer another?
For those who don’t know, KoF XIII will be having alternate costumes. Takuma Sakazaki can be Mr. Karate, Raiden can be Big Bear, and Andy Bogard can be Zorro? Who knows what will be next!
hey guys I am pretty new to srk but i’ve been playing fighting games since i was freakin little, I’m in the nyc area and i want to see an snk scene here in the states, is there anything i can do to produce the hype for KoF? i do not have a lot of resources but i can still try my best, lets keep snk alive peoples!!
Hello everyone, I am also pretty new to srk, but a longtime fan of fighting games. I’ve been trying to spread the SNK love at anime conventions - I cosplay Terry Bogard We’re trying to get a KoF cosplay group together for Nashicon, as well as Animazement. I’m also interested in anything I can do to help the scene
Sorry for sounding naive, but doesn’t dreamcancel work that way? also, can we change this thread title to North America instead of just US? I personally will be doing my part to help this game grow here in Canada, and i’m sure others will be also.
