I recently signed up to NeoEmp to check out some stuff, i didnt do anything and an admin manually approved me after 24 hours or something. So i could view the buy and sell section

You can make top and bottom Custom Acrylic for it?
We have strip heaters at work as we do a lot of acrylic stuff, wont be me doing it as I’m the fabricator. The bend is straight so very easy to do and the acrylic is strong so the art wont pop up, more than likely wont need fixing to the bottom half.

Yeah its a bit of a mission to send cover/stick plus the costs would be pretty insane both ways. I’m sure once Art slows down a bit he’d be more than happy to help. As I’m just steady (no sticky!) I will have the time to get plates measured up and checked out.
I did have an EX but that was used to trade in for my TE once I got the plexi idea in my head and figured no one would need it. A plexi that costs a third of the stick seems crazy.

Loving the stick, i like the way that ryu’s hadouken is placed right under the bubble topped stick, v nice detail!
I’m curious to see how your SE plexi turns out. I have a professional 24" strip heater that I used, but as mentioned a while back, after it cools down and contracts, the corners do bend upwards making it unusable. Even 3/32" stock didn’t hold. I didn’t want to go 1/8" as that gives some potential issues and concerns for snap-ins. If you do find a good solution, or even a specific quality of plexi that will hold, it would be great if you can share =)
Although, if you share the success, I honestly don’t know if I’ll have time to make all those bends either, lol. But there sure is enough SE’s to keep you busy.
And damnit, how do you get a holiday? I so want one, lol.
On another note, are you able to go the full Etching and artwork cutting route? If you can do everything that I’m doing I might as well take Europe off my country list =).
jdm714 - If you have a FSEX2 you can lend out, I can chat with you. I just didn’t want to acquire the EX2 and have to de-solder everything to make a plexi for it. But if you’ve done that already it takes the harder part out for me.
My plexi’s are 3 mm already and believe me snap ins are not a problem, at least not with the TE stick, they remain seated nicely. It’s my GF’s birthday hence the forced holiday. Im not as busy as you (annoyingly) but soon maybe. I’ll let you know how the se turns out at end of week :), I’d imagine with 1.6 mm it would curl as you described.
