You planning on doing thinner TE stick plexi’s?
If enough people want thinner plexi’s I don’t have any issues doing that, personally i I like the raised profile as you get a nice flame polished edge. Funnily enough I’ve had one guy that has not liked it aesthetically and wants a refund, which I will provide him of course. It matters not what it’s cut out of for me but costs will remain same.
I think mine are different to Arts but it’s intentional. Everyone bar him has liked what they have received so far. And the bezel is 4mm or so deep anyway so with the full plate, keeps it the same height really.
Art, lets get our heads together one day on MSN or something, a chat would be nice methinks
I’d definitely want a thinner “standard” one
Soooo,
My package arrived, containing one full and one standard plexi.
The package perfectly survived the trip from the UK to Germany, no scratches, no chipping on the corners, no breakage.
The package was sent on friday and arrived here today so, quite fast.
I definetly, strongly advise all Europe based potential customer to buy doomy’s.
For all of you who might not know, I’m about to explain the direct international transactions (actually, how they work in Europe).
Your bank account, besides the bank account number, has another code associated to it. This is called IBAN. An IBAN code is basically the “international” version of your account number, it is usually made of 16 charaters and it starts with two letters that indicate the country the bank account comes from (GB for England, IT for Italy etc.).
The number then contains your account number, the bank ID and other numbers, this waz it is easily identifiable. Every bank account in the world has this number, you just need to ask your bank, if you didnt know it already.
Together with this number, you will need the BIC/SWIFT code.
This is the international identification code that represents your bank across the world.
Both these numbers are very basic information than any employee in your bank should know.
By using these two codes there is never any “commission” or “operational cost” surcharge, so this is effectively the cheapest and swiftest way to do an international transaction!
I’m sorry if I insulted someone’s intelligence, my aim was just to be helpful.
I will post pic of the stick with plexi and artwork, it won’t be original at all since I’ll use one of the PSD that was posted in the template thread, but at least you’ll be able to see another of doomy’s plexi in use :).
Again, if you live in Europe, choose Doomy’s!
(I hope Art does not get mad, it’s just that shipping anything of the size or fragility of a plexi across the ocean is just too expensive, nothing against his great, great work).
I also renew my request for sticky for fairness and justice (U.S. based plexi cutting service from the grat Arthong has a stickied thread).
Cheers Aqua! Will have to use that DHL service again, it said 1-4 days but figured it may well be more due to bank holiday and weekend.
Anyways, back from hols! Buy buy buy!
Quote for great justice, this thread deserves to be stickied
Yeah dude, lets find some time to chat. Busy week for me this week, perhaps sometime next week. I occasionally use AIM though, but I’m not on MSN cuz I have some people to avoid, lol
No worries, Mate. I’ve been supporting Doomy’s work from the beginning. I’m all for cheaper alternatives for overseas options. I always cringe when I try to keep my prices low only to have people get screwed by overseas shipping. I plan to give Doomy my full support as long as he keeps his customer’s happy :wgrin:
how thick is your guys plexis, cause doomys looks really thick
can i have those muffins pls? drool
can you go thinner, looks like you had to replace those screws?
They were crap muffins
Probably can go thinner, screws are from work, lost originals since I’ve been carrying that stick around to and from work for weeks now.
damn those muffins!!
thinner, just notto thin so it cracks ;/
I live in London…how do i go abouts ordering one of these.
i ve read the previous post(s) but im confused.
Sorry yes I really need to amend my first post, got a few new products going up soon and was going to do it soon. Bank transfer is preferred, PM me and we will take it from there
Half that thickness would be perfect
2mm is the next size down, bearing in mind most stuff in uk is metric and certainly our supplier is. And 1mm is just way too thin. Getting a couple of 2mm ones cut as we speak. So if you want one I guess it’s time to shout 8 Button standards.
I’ll wait for 1.5mm
Is it possible to make a plexi for the madcatz te with holes for countersunk head screws?
I dont like the screws which holding the plexi because my left wrist lays on the bottom left screw and after some time its realy uncomfortable…
If not i have to send my te stick back :-/
1.5 won’t happen. Too flexible with the heat of the CNC/laser. It will warp too much, if you really have to have it that thin Art’s thread is a sticky above this one. So many have Art’s plexi and notice mine is different but we talking 1.4 mm difference and in the grand scheme of things, that’s a tiny amount when buttons fit well and looks nice.
Shame, I can’t get one for Art as I’m in the UK
