The problem is that it can only allow you to set the directions to the X/Y axis on the controller, and on mine, the D-pad (stick) is buttons and not axis. EFZ doesn’t have this problem, so I don’t know what’s up with that.
Game looks pretty spiffy though… don’t really care for how simply the close combat is, but the whole game is more about projectile rushdown and mobility, from what I’ve seen so far.
Also, thank god they made the supers not so overpowered, like they were in the old demo. I still don’t really care for starting up the Spell Card, but I guess I’ll get used to it. Gaining super meter definately seems right now… it just didn’t seem to work the old way.
There was some of this played, too, when Linalys was over at my place. It was probably my 6th hour playing the game, but it’s not too hard to catch on. The game is really fun once you know what the hell every body can do. I’ve taken a fancy to Violin Chick, Sword + Spirit Girl, and of course, Madam Testament. More on this later (and maybe some replays) when I get away from Phantom Brave.
As for Touhou demo: I played it for a couple of minutes and it looks like it’s going to be a great strategy/mind game … well, at least that’s what I can tell from using characters to put crap all over the screen.
There a chance the replays have been set up the bomb, in which case i’ll have to zip them again. Sorry about the .zip.zip, This laptop doesn’t want to cooperate with me.
I sincerely you doubt being a mess Gwy, it was quite obvious to me that you very much know your stuff when it comes to this game. Playing against Mio will be a huge challenge for me, but we’ll see what goes down.
I can only practice against the AI, so all of my VS human practice comes from GG. Fortunately it translations PRETTY well, but humans also fall for a lot of stuff the AI doesn’t, and the AI doesn’t fall for stuff humans will. So, it’s hard to practice much other than combos and reaction.
Been playing a bit of GG and Touhou lately actually, but I’m on break so I’m playing a bit of everything.
I find the more I play it, the more I like it. It’s very weird, but I’ve gotten more of the feel to it.
I’m not going to say it’s not terribly unbalanced or doesn’t have issues, because it still does. But this is why we have patches.
