Thnks alot!

What’s a good program for converting FLV files?

CCleaner
It allows you to delete cookies and other temporary internet files while marking specific cookies to not be deleted(for example, delete all except shoryuken and youtube). It also lets you delete unnecessary registry code left behind from uninstalled programs. You can set it to run these functions after your computer starts up and have the program close automatically after it finishes.

Sandboxie
Creates an isolated environment on your computer where you can run untrusted programs. For example, if you have a .exe that you want to install but you are worried of any hidden operations it could be doing that you don’t want it to. You can right click the file and have it run in a sandbox. Every action, file created and file opened will be contained within the sandbox and won’t have any effect on your computer. You can run your browser in a sandbox too. On installation it prompts you to view a very detailed tutorial, view it in a sandbox(the tutorial has an example that requires this).

Riva FLV Encoder

Thanks, but I need something to convert FLV files to another format. I don’t think Riva does that.

EDIT: I found this one: http://download.cnet.com/Free-FLV-Converter/3000-2194_4-10832044.html

I need something that will convert MP3’s or other formats to WAV files… MP3’s are pissing me off in FL Studio:mad:…

If you set winamp’s output settings to Disk Writer, instead of playing whatever is on the playlist, it will write the files as .wavs, be warned turn repeat all off lol

Any free programs for ripping DVDs? I got some Ippo episodes I want to put on my iPhone.

Try this.

I found this one: http://www.dvddecrypter.org.uk/

It was made by the same person who made ImgBurn.

This thread is the best one.

It does. Unless you were trying to convert it to MKV or something(WMV,WAV,MP3 are fine).

word.

my personal selections:

video - vlc (www.videolan.org/) - best video player i’ve ever used despite the horrible interface, but to be honest, i’m looking at the video (usually in full-screen mode) and not the fancy skins (oh and vlc is skinnable btw)

music - foobar (www.foobar2000.org/) - it doesn’t steal resources like some other mp3 players and its got ton of customization options. though much like vlc, its interface isn’t the easiest on the eyes, but if your like me and prefer performance over eyecandy, foobar is great.

mp3 downloading - mrtzcmp3 (www2.mrtzcmp3.net/) - this is actually an mp3 website. i used to use limewire (which i hated and made me miss the old days of napster) until i found this site. i mean common, no need to download a clunky interface, blazing fast http speeds, and did i mention you can preview the mp3 before downloading it to make sure its what your looking for. i’m relatively still new with this site, but from the time i’ve been using it, its also got way more (rare) files than limewire does.

download manager - jdownloader (jdownloader.org/) - i’ll admit, this program is slow and clunky, and i really only use it for one purpose: to download files from rapidshare/megaupload/etc. you know, those sites that make you enter lame codes and make you wait out timers? yea, this program will automatically do all those for you. it will queue up all the files to download them whenever your limit has been refilled, but if you like to be a cheater (and your router supports it) you can get it to change your ip to bypass the limits.

bittorent - utorrent (www.utorrent.com/) - self-explanatory i think.

avi-to-dvd - dvd flick - (www.dvdflick.net/) - i’m no expert in this field, but i found this program to very easy to use and its got good reviews so give it a try if you need to convert avi files to dvd.

virtual cd drive - daemon tools lite - (www.daemon-tools.cc/) - if you need a virtual cd-drive.

auto-clicker - mofiki’s autoclicker (www.mofiki.com/) - if you ever need an auto-clicker. this one is really simple and light-weight. i know theres better ones out there with more advanced options, but if you just need a simple one to do timed clicks, this will suffice at under 200kb.

someone asked bout ripping dvds. check out this link: http://www.videohelp.com/tools/sections/dvd-to-avi-divx-xvid
i used to use dvdfab. theres a free version, but it isn’t that good compared to the full version (since this is a freeware thread).

another person asked about mp3-to-wav. you produce songs with fl studio and you don’t have an audio editor like soundforge or wavelab? those are however retail products. for free programs, theres audacity which i haven’t touched in the longest time so i dunno if its still any good: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/. another one you can try is goldwave, which isn’t free but it has a free trail. again i haven’t used it in a long time so i don’t know if its still any good http://www.goldwave.com/. (the program i currently use is soundforge)

btw, did anyone know that nero offers a free version of their burning software called nero lite? its seriously buried within their site kinda hard to find even when your trying to find it. its pretty decent, but the only downside is that it can only do data cds. so if your looking to make audio cds or video cds, look elsewhere.

Does anyone know of any good manuscript writing/publishing software that is free or pretty close to it. PagePlus doesn’t seem appropriate for novel or manuscript writing and publishing.

hey guiizzee

I have a bunch of MP4s and i wanna create a DVD movie with them. Any suggestions would be much appreciated (Still rocking windows XP btw).

Mdownloader is that shit… all I have to do is find the links and this thing automates downloads for me so I don’t have to keep up with them in my browser and waiting times/even visiting the site is out of the question because is just downloads them one after the other…

Good for file hosting website junkies like me, because it works with damn near all of the well known ones and a couple that are unknown to most people…

If you are one of those people that only download from a file hosting website every now and again and its just one file at the most for you don’t bother… for everyone one else hop on this shit right now…

Compatible with all versions of windows… don’'t think its compatible with macs…

Haven’t seen this thread in a while

Nice find, I had no idea this place existed.

whoa forgot to mention to anyone looking at snaek’s post… DaemonTools comes with spyware, whether its the free or premium version… look it up on any site…

matter in fact here’s a source right here… sneaky shit right here lol my anti virus picked it up the moment I downloaded the damn thing… although the spyware was gone, I was kinda skeptical about installing this to my computer so I got another program…

if anyone is interested in a virtual drive program/dvd burning utility… I’ll put them on with a program just PM me, I’m not sure if linking premium software with a keygen in a post is the smartest thing to do lol…

can we get an update on this thread. I’ve been looking for a defrag program. I’ve tried the ones posted in the first post, not sure if I like them.
