I am looking for a simple network inventory software that would be able to pull out the Hardware and software inventory of the machines in a LAN / domain.
Am currently using a solution that sync with a MySQL server called “The One Inventory Software”. It’s not working very well in my environmenent, and they stopped to support it.
(They’re not replying to my Emails).
I was wondering if someone here would know a freesoft able to do similar stuff?
(I know it’s rather an office/business solution I am looking for here, but I know there are some Network Admins and IT pros on SRK… so I thought I’ll ask here just in case.)
I need a good alternative to Winamp. I don’t think it likes Windows 7, as it crashes randomly while playing music, forcing me to reboot my PC. What do you all use?
Thanks. I downloaded AIMP2, and I already like some things about it more than Winamp. It helps that it looks and functions a lot like Winamp, making easier for me to use. I like how it displays the tracklist…makes it easier to find tracks when you have a lot like I do.
StumbleUpon for firefox gives you a random website based on your preferences excellent to pass the time, I havent gotten anything would be considered nsfw… yet
Also try the Read It Now for temporary bookmarks so you dont have to clutter up your bookmarks with websites you will only take a look at once or twice.
Anybody got any good freeware for detecting and and backing up drivers on notebooks and netbooks? It was a pain in the ass finding all the drivers for my Dell Latitude, and I 'm thinking heavily about buying one of these 229.99 netbooks at Walmart (Windows 7 starter…I have to find out the limitations a starter edition imposes), and If I have to format…I would rather be able to get what I need restored rather than trial and error installs like Dell’s site put me through.
I don’t even know what drivers I got installed. All I do is install Zoomplayer then run the built in install center, Installs everything quietly, so I dont’ have to mess about with the settings, I don’t even know where it installed the codecs. lol, uninstall then install either VLC or BSplayer. I like the shortcuts/controls of bsplayer so I use it mostly.
I don’t know if its been mentioned here but http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/ has a free retail software daily (changes every 24 hours), sometimes it s bullshit like screensavers but usually its things like dvd rippers, file converters, etc. It’s not a warez site but its a promotional site for smaller developers to showcase their software.
Today the free download is a youtube to mp3 converter. Im getting that one ASAP, Ive always wanted this program but couldnt find a trusted source to get this from.
EDIT: Hold up I see bad reviews from people who use IE not sure about firefox but I’ll try it out and if its no good I’ll just post here again. 7 hours left until offer expires.
This program seems like complete and total bullshit dont waste your time it is worthless imo I’ll try one more but that’s it. Program just crashed after trying the first one.
EDIT: Nvrmind seems kinda hit and miss is there anything reliable I dont know about?
Yes please this fucking thing wiped out all of my bookmarks… I hope I discouraged anyone from downloading this piece of garbage.
EDIT: This program autoconfigures your browsers and adds shit on that you dont want to have, I didnt lose my bookmarks but inorder to get them back I had to uninstall it from my computer.
