Consider getting your stick dualmodded - it should be about $50.00 if you get the solderless cthulu board (someone correct me if I’m wrong). I’m gonna mod my stick soon so when I go to Munchies/any other 360 tourneys, I don’t have to borrow someone else’s stick. But, as someone who has borrowed my fair share of 360 sticks, I’d say that there is no real difference between 360/PS3 TEs/SEs. If you don’t mind, though, finding someone to lend you a stick shouldn’t be a problem. Last time, we just left the sticks after playing our matches and the next person used em. My stick was on one of the setups and after the tourney, it felt/looked no different, so don’t worry about your stick being abused if you’re gonna bring it.
Hrm, we had an old CRT TV and a Vizio, and I noticed no lag whatsoever. Then again, I’m no TV/lagdiscerning pro, so… I’m not sure. The TV I brought wasn’t mine, so for future tourneys, we may use the house TV as a main setup and have a similar setup as last time (if Deejay can provide). If I get some extra money, though, I’m going to try to buy a TV as a backup and so we don’t have to use the houses’ flatscreen (which, according to Pieguy+Jack+Korea+others, has no noticeable lag)
Yeah I didn’t think so either. But the HDTV felt fine man. I wasn’t the only one who felt some lag. And as far as online “lag” I know what that sensation is like. I haven’t been playing online for a while now, only personal sessions. I don’t believe it was online lag. But who knows, could’ve all been in my head.
I was fighting the worlds worst case of nerves and I already felt like I was playing through a telescope. That crt sort of made me feel like I had a fishbowl in front of the telescope! Didn’t seem to affect the championship battle! Epic throwdown on the CRT between pieguy and Alan “the artist formerly known as cammy”.

I had a session w/some friends n i was hesitant to let this mofo use my shit cuz i kno how his ass is and now crouch doesnt fckn work! Now i gotta open my shit n try to fix it. Just SFIV for now, but we may open those doors at a later time. I’m especially thinking BlazBlue, since it’s a brand new game and everyone should be on nearly equal footing. Hypewise, SicX and his crew had a pretty good running commentary haha… but everyone was quietly watching for the most part. Except for the really crazy parts - then it was fairly loud.
The 11th - every Saturday at 2:00 unless noted. Davis folks might not be able to make it, though, cause it looks like they’re gonna have a tourney over there on that day as well.

You’re talking about the MadCatz TEs, right? If we ever run a 360 bracket or you get your TE dualmodded, bring it and I’ll see if I can feel a difference. I’ve used at least three 360 TEs and they feel exaaaaaactly the same o_o. We should introduce you to Choi and you guys can discuss the differences between the consoles and sticks together haha
No, I’m talkin’ about the difference between a standard xbox 360 controller and a playstation 3 controller… Or are we using joy sticks? Because I’d rather use a controller lol. Ohhh that makes a lot more sense. Yeah, we ALWAYS use joysticks! Except for one or two pad warriors. You use the 360 controller?! I find it so hard to use for fighting games… you should try playing on a stick. It’s so much easier for me to play on stick versus a controller, but of course it varies for people. I swore on the PS2 controller for awhile, but after playing SFIV at the MUGA, I said “sticks all the way” for fighting games and haven’t looked back since.
