The sweet, sweet damage FINALLY
Capcom finally did something right. Thanks for the list
Wait wut?
She never got CH Bonus from B+HK now she does lol. Also side note her U1 gives the opponent meter now =(
I’ll live; starting to only use U1 for very specific matchups anyway.
I found that you can connect U1 off of a mid-screen LK Spin Scythe on Balrog, T. Hawk, and Gief (but not Sagat/Seth unfortunately).

Your list of character specific combos has really helped me realize what combos are available to me under certain situations, Sprint. I can’t thank you enough for that post. I’ve checked it so much I have the entire thing memorized now.
<3 you Foxx
Correction to my page 2 post:
- Level 2 Focus (dash) st.HP works on El Fuerte if you delay HP by a few frames.
Combo Enders into DP are better than Spin Sythe because it does more damage. Obviouly comboing Cr. MP into Medium DP is a little tricky, but its worth the damage.
I only go for Spin Sythe if I’m doing a Tech Heal combo.
Wrong. Scratch Wheel is worse in every way.
- M Spin Scythe does more damage than M Scratch Wheel (160 vs 140).
- M Spin Scythe does more stun than M Scratch Wheel (210 vs 200).
- Spin Scythe has more range.
- Spin Scythe provides more knockdown advantage. Most significantly, ending with M Scratch Wheel does not give you enough time to do Dash Meaty f+MK.
The enders to go for are M Spin Scythe for damage, H Lynx Tail for knockdown advantage, L/M Lynx Tail for consistency against certain crouchers and slightly different options.
Cr.MP xx EX Mallet Smash, cr.LP, cr.LP xx Medium Scratch Wheel = 291 Damage/ 435 Stun
Cr.MP xx EX Mallet Smash cr.LP, cr.LP xx Medium Spin Sythe = 295 Damage/ 435 Stun
Cr.LP , cr.LP cr.MP xx EX Mallet Smash, cr.LP, cr.MP xx Medium Scratch Wheel = 268 Damage/ 410 Stun
Cr.LP, cr.LP cr.MP xx EX Mallet Smash, cr.LP, cr.MP xx Medium Spin Sythe = 270 Damage/ 410 Stun
Meter Gain for both of there examples are the same.
DP Ender carries farther than SS.
Do both enders work on everyone? I know Scratch Wheel does.
I don’t really know why you would go for a Meaty overhead when they can just reversal it on reaction.
I personally like SS for your abilities to do Ultra 2 on the air spin, which is nice.
Saying SS has more range is kind of a miss conception (I think that’s the word I’m looking for?) since the application is just in combos, does this have to do with it working on everyone?
You get the same meaty options with both.
Not sure what else. I tried to respond to everything you said.

This is the most I was able to sqeeze out as a 2 Bar “Works everywhere” combo. Maybe it can be optimized? Im not really sure how.
I’ve been exploring Stand HP in combos. This one in paticular works on everyone but it seems to have an issue with being frame perfect; If you to HP late, it whiffs on a few characters.
Its a little hard, but I think its worth is but then again, the chances of you getting a fierce overhead are slim
These numbers are wrong. SW combo does 269/395. SS one does 275/397
f+MK is 12 frames. Meaty is 13-14 frames. Pretty much nobody is blocking it on reaction unless you have an obvious tell in the inputs prior to it.
Yes. Simple example:
st.HK > cr.LP > cr.MP(or LP) xx M Spin Scythe
st.HK > cr.LP > cr.MP(or LP) xx M Scratch Wheel
The latter is unreliable on far more characters, especially crouchers, because the move simply doesn’t have enough reach.
No you don’t. If the opponent techs after M Scratch Wheel you cannot do meaty f+MK, which means you can’t combo off it. This leaves you with bad overhead options that are either reactable or unsafe.
Other meaty options are also less effective (cr.LK, st.HK) due to the opponent landing further away with less time to get there.
Ultra decapre compiled a list of hitboxes for us. The first hitbox of spin scythe occupies 3 of the wall squares/ 1 floor tile, and mk dp occupies a little over 1 wall tile/ 0.5 floor tiles.
Scratch wheel is also pretty bad vs crouchers purely because of the reeling animations, whereas spin scythe is less risky still punishable if any hits whiff, but much less so.
I usually opt for that combo except instead of st.hp I use st.HK > cr.lp> cr.MP xx MK SS. (Mostly so I could practice getting the link down)

OH I’m sorry. I missed a cr.MP for both of these exmaples, my fault.

I never use Scratch wheel as enders unless I get something that force stands, so basically mallet smash. If I get a raw hit with either roundhouse option, then I SS.
I’ll be honest, I dont frame trap with Elena, or rather seldom do. Roundhouse combos are something that I should incorporate I guess? I don’t really play a pressure game with her so the situation to do these combos rarely comes up.
I use that combo you posted pretty often, I fish for HP Mallet Smash more than I probably should, though. Love using it to catch backdashes on wakeup or blocked level 2 focus xx forward dash (though if they’re mashing backdash in that situation I should just open them up low for free with cr.lk… I just hate linking off of it).
EX Break Dance is mad good and +5 on block so you can frame trap people with it (REALLY GHETTO) but its strong enough to be worth while IMO
EX Lynx is -9 o.O. Did you mean HK FADC?
Yeah; LOL
Ive been practicing to see how viable FADC off of HK Tail is. It is +5 so thats almost unheard of in the FADC world now a days.
Yeah it’s good it’s plus 19 on hit too.
