cr.lp links out of hp.ms so much easier tho. It makes it almost impossible to drop.

Ya it’s pretty easy, especially so if you plink it.

Its pretty hard in the heat of the moment. When timing an offbeat link its always nice to have a big window to do it in.

No. im not sure I understand your logic im basically saying its better to go for the easy link. Elena is hard enough as it is. A bonus to that combo is that the timing for linking cr.lp is basically the same for ex.ms too.

It’s better to go for more damage. And the link is a relatively easy plinkable 2 framer.

Hitting a c.LP link off EX MS is harder than hitting a plinkable c.mp link off HP MS.

Getting an opponent to fall for HP MS is pretty difficult since it’s so slow, so when you do you always wanna punish them for the maximum amount of dmg possible. Using c.mp also allows you to usually get full hits off of lk RH, EX SW midscreen compared to using c.LP

eh well I’m 1444st elena on xbox so what do I know other than I never drop either mallet smashes because the timing is always the same.

H Lynx Tail FADC is +5 on block off the 2nd hit, but only neutral off the 3rd hit. (+19/+14 on hit)
EX Lynx Tail FADC is +4 on block. Must wait until the last hit connects.
Spin Scythe FADC is +4 on block (+8 on hit).

Can you do H Lynx Tail FADC St. HP on all characters? I don’t have the game yet so I can’t investigate myself atm, but I’m curious. :3

As long as the character is standing, you should be able to connect that sequence on every character.

What are your guys go-to meter combo midscreen with Elena? More and more I’m thinking that off an EX MS in neutral this is probably her best:

EX MS, c.lp, c.mp xx EX MS, c.lp, c.mp xx mk SS - 320dmg/460 stun

Unlike confirming into lk RH, this combo will almost always have the same dmg output midscreen(lk RH, EX SW combos midscreen have tendencies to whiff or not get full hits on certain characters with funky hitboxes like Rose/Juri, adding a c.mp link after c.lp ensures that you’ll almost never get full hits on any character midscreen) you also get a stronger mixup off mk SS than EX SW imo. Corner carry is greater(slightly), it does more stun, and you build more meter. There are a few characters that you’ll need to add an extra c.lp though, which lowers the dmg output to 305.

Hey for those Sprint combos with the double scratch wheels after EX spin scythe, do those link or are they supposed to be FADC’d? The way it’s laid out in notations looks like they link but I’m not getting any of them to connect on any of the listed body types so I’m looking for advice.

j.Hp, s.Hp xx EX RH, Ultra - 577 dmg/~430 stun

Not sure if its character specific. I just know that it works on Poison.

You can save the bar and get the same damage just doing :hk: rhino horn
