My problem to be honest is the mist step motion. I’ve no problem landing the EWGF, but god the mist step feels different in this game.
EDIT: OK it was actually just my hands being tired. I can do the mist step fine.

I cannot promote this enough. plus. while practicing the EWGFx4 midscreen combo… nothing feels better than NOT getting an ex. getting better.
also.
j.hk, s.hp xx EWGF, EWGF, s.mp xx EWGF, EWGF
524 damage… somehow I got this to work in the corner (EWGF practice) i took this combo from the vid above)
can anyone else confirm this?
Thanks for the images. If you don’t mind, I’ll add them to my post in order to reduce the clutter of it when I get home from class. I guess a better way to describe this is to start inputting the p-link when in the down position and move to the down forward position while doing it. If you time it right, you’ll get the results in the 3rd image, if your timing is off by a little bit, you’ll get the results of the 1st image and if your timing is further off, you’ll get an EX WGF.
I’ll keep practicing without p-links, but perhaps someone will find this as a consistent method of inputting EWGF.
That is assuming that the plink is input correctly too and not a single, separated Strong and Fierce or EX. I just think there’s a lot that can go wrong with that input, but if it helps someone then go for it.
Never thought I’d enjoy the hairgel guys, but ewgf alone has me excited for him, guess i’m an execution whore. Too bad I suck at it, but if people can do it on demand i’m sure i’ll get there with time.
Thread has been really helpful, thanks a lot guys.

got the timing down 4x true egwf meterless combo
I hope when I finally master this Ono doesn’t decide to patch it out. -_-
I think those are just WGFs, not EWGFs. The EWGF is purply-pink, not blue, and it doesn’t kick up any acceleration dust because the mist step doesn’t come out.
I think.
They’re legit EWGF, otherwise the combo wouldn’t work past the 2nd WGF.
Ah hell, now I’m just more confused. ;( If you do it without canceling a mist step, is there still accel dust?
Dust shouldn’t matter, only the pink electricity. Sometimes I see dust with my EWGF, sometimes I don’t. Most of the time I don’t pay attention because if it’s EWGF, I know anyway. I’m pretty sure he doesn’t have a very good video capture method so the color levels are off.
By the limitations of the SFxT combo system, in order for him to preform that combo he’d either have to be hitting EWGF or spending meter on EX WGF (which he isn’t doing).
There still is acceleration dust if performed correctly. If they decide to patch anything, might be nice if they remove the electricity from the WGF and just have it for the true input and EX version.
EDIT: Nevermind, sometimes the dust shows and sometimes it doesnt.
I don’t know if this has already been posted, but when I spent a little while on Tekken 6, this video was quite helpful, it’s for Mishima dashing, but it’s the same concept.
what’s the damage?
Although the EWGF is the same, I honestly think mist step feels a lot different in this game.
In light of recent videos/images and because I was guilty of not reading carefully enough I had to edit my last post a bit. I don’t understand why I don’t get the dust when I do it and it clearly comes out in that video by D3M0N3Y3S, but all my time with the game is limited to weekends…
Thanks for all that info and keep it up HauntedHaus!
Since i dont use gems do to tournament play im getting 466 on that combo
thank you.
that was like a whole page of explaining what we already knew
