What does MainMan mean by hitting the punch button and the down forward input at the exact same frame?
so just to be clear:
if a normal comes out, i am pushing the button early
if a regular wgf comes out, im pushing it too late?
if you turn on input display in training mode, the first DF for mist step you see should be next to the MP or HP. Otherwise you’re not getting ewgf.
correct. basically if a normal comes out, you didn’t mist step.
For wavedash into EWGF, I found a really easy way of doing it is just to go upback-> df+p on the last wavedash

Nice find. It’s pretty much like tekken but easier IMO. Always double tap strong/fierce and you’ll get it out 100% of the time.
You can use that or any other way of getting mist step to come out, but the most important part is that the first Down forward you see is paired with MP or HP.
Something I noticed about the F,N,DF (653) is that you either get EWGF or just a crouching MP/HP. It is not like any other mist step motion where if you hit punch late you’ll get regular WGF.
Arite so I’m able to do (corner combo) ewgf,ewgf, c.HPxx EWGF,c.HP EWGF, but I keeping missing the 5th EWGF ender. Is there a secret to making this hit? I’m hitting the just frame, but the move isn’t hitting.
Same thing with the mid screen combo (s.HP ewgf s.hp ewgf s.hp ewgf ewgf ) I get everything but the ender 
Weird question, is anyone else using a seimitsu ls-32? The shorter distances make it harder to hit the just frame timing imo…might switch for a sanwa jlf again.

Any tips in general? I just started practicing EWGF last night and I’m in love, but I only have about 50% success in neutral game and 1% in combos. Seriously. I love this character though.
Lol I can get the EWGF by mashing after a standing fierce.

So i’m starting to practice combos starting with WGF. Can anyone get more damage from: C.mk xx WGF, s.HP xx EWGF c.mk EWGF (358) You can replace the 2nd EWGF with DGF for 368 dmg.

something that needs ewgf midscreen
c mk xx ewgf, ewgf, cr mk ewgf, cr hp ewgf, ewgf
corner:
c mk xx wgf, ewgf, cr hp ewgf, cr hp ewgf, ewgf
ewgf over wgf preferred obviously
yeah I know, i was just using the WGF because i don’t think EWGF connects after a max range c.mk. Ty though 
From max range c.mk, you have to wavedash once into ewgf. On hit it still combos.
I can get ewgf consistently from a standing Fierce punch, but I can’t get it raw. lol
