I thought you stopped with fighting games entirely, your sf4 videos helped a lot with learning the game engine. Hopefully you stick around and do more in the future, because you deliver high quality stuff.
Yeah, I plan on doing more. SFxTK is really fun to dig into. Thanks. I didn’t know Kaz was going to be this popular, I usually like to develop under-used characters. Might do more King stuff or even Yoshi.
Quick question, how do you guys hold your stick? I’m used to having a “cup” like grasp (shaft between pinky and ring finger), but i was watching some video of people playing and they keep their hands free. In training this makes the mist step motion a lot easier, but it’s like learning to play on a stick again for everything else. Even dp motions are annoying (reverse dps like web swing in marvel are impossible lol).
I hold it the way that you’re holding it now, with the shaft between the ring and pinky finger. I found that I can do the mist step just as easily, if not easier than doing it free handed because I can actually feel all the corners of the stick. Also, I can EWGF better using your grip than I can using the free handed technique.

OMFG!! i discovered something…and seriously i think most of those toturials are not even correct in such case?
i am not kiddin, but so far i am NOT!! MISSING A SINGLE EWGF on any side…the EWGF is simply f N d/f+ Button!! thats it…nothing else

the idea is to input the d/f fast aftr the F n and hold d/f…u can even mash the button several times!
if no one aware of this or want to see a video of the EXACT notation (F N d/f + button), i can record it to prove it…unless if u guys alrdy know that

I don’t think so. I’d like to see the input for this. I’d like to see how you can “mash” the punch and get an EWGF every time.

This was already covered by HauntedHaus in this very same thread before. Inputting f, N, df+MP works and he even provided an image to go with his statement http://i.imgur.com/qY1DO.jpg
The part about mashing is not true though, you still need to time the MP on the same frame as the df. Evidence on that is all in this thread too, just read it if you don’t believe it.
That’s not the point. I’m fully aware of the EWGF shortcuts. I’m asking HIM to PROVE that he can get EWGF by holding down and mashing the button (even using turbo). I’m not out to argue/discredit him. I just want proof of his method.
For stick players it’s pretty easy if you plink HP~MP in between the down and down-forward motions. Even if the game reads you hitting HP on the down input if you plinked correctly and have HP+MP on the down-forward you still get EWGF and not an EX. Sorry if I’m restating the obvious, but this is what I’ve found to work for me.

the kazuya part i will show the concept of doin them on each side, with the easier shortcut…as well as detail exlpanation of the F n fast input. which i believe EWGF all depends sololey on the fast input of either d,d/f or fd/f after the F n.
also will show a prove that EWGF isnt part of a wave dash…or that u can preform EWGF in two ways. With mist step and without.

So are you even going to “Neutral” ?? ( for instance ) On hitbox style controller could I just hit forward + HP - then hit down while holding forward ( aka DF ) and hit MP at same time??
if you hold forward wont work, you need neutral, on a hit box it seems to be very tricky to do egwf
