Electric Wind God Fist _ Updt: 03.08.12

or just do it on all block. ewgf does 25 damage on block, wgf 17. faster training method due to no knockdown lolol

I find the pushback a very reliable method, it’s much bigger with the ewfg, just set the dummy to autoblock.

God this is the only thing that’s keeping me in this game, I so wanna get it down and beast people with it. Such a strong neutral too it’s definetly broken and will be nerfed in the future.
after some an hour of lab time I can do it on 1p and 2p side about equal w/ maybe 65% ratio… IMO doing either the f/df, than hcf but stopping at the df and double tapping is the best way to do it for me

I can even do it after a a c. fierce

I think adding more inputs w/ the hcf makes it easier cause you add more inputs, makes you get ready to hit the button exactly at df

also what someone else posted earlier, thinking in your mind that you press fierce/strong at d instread of df helped me
Has anyone tested the frame data on this move in terms of startup, I feel like it’s smidge faster than the regular WGF, but I can’t be sure if it is or if it’s just placebo.

it feels a little faster, but dunno i cant do it consistently either lol

what team are you playing skatan? im playing kaz/chun

regular wgf has 9f startup, ex wgf has 7f startup, and ewgf mimics ex wgf properties besides damage and juggle potential. so i’m assuming it’s 2f faster like ex.

the first 2 combos are really good for beginning to incorporate EWGF in combos imo.

If you like it in this game wait till you try it out in Tekken.

And I really doubt they’ll nerf it, it was always supposed to be a broken but very hard to execute move. The only time I think it got nerfed in Tekken was when it stopped hitting mid but that was Tekken 6 and it didn’t stop it from being really good.

The fact that I don’t really like sfxt has really sparked my interest for tekken. I’ve been staying away from it but i hear it’s very technical and starting on few fighters takes a lot of effort and time, which i currently don’t have, but i’ll definetly not switch streams anymore and try to get some grasp of the game.

looking back at Capcom history, as soon as they get wind of it they will remove it.

I’m pretty sure it was coded intentionally though.

Wow thanks, holding forward helped a lot, I couldn’t even get 1 before!

I basically hold forward, then push the joystick into the bottom corner of the square gate while pressing mp.

the move isnt hard to do, its just weird for me and i think for most of the sf players, were too much used to pressing the button after imputing the last direction of the move, not at the same time.
Its specially weird to do that in order to cancel a normal move.

I was about to say hopefully, however its capcom we are talking about here.

I don’t understand what your implying.

Are you trying to say EWGF was some sort of mystical side effect of making the game that Capcom didn’t comprehend could happen? Its obviously meant to be there, it has its own properties, animation and is in Tekken games…

Simply that the boys at Capcom would patch it out, no matter how much sense it makes to keep it in.

I’m playing Cammy/Juri atm, but at some point I’m going to switch to Nina/Kazuya probably.
Chun/Julia also seems like I team I would like to try out.

julia is a beast ;_;

I want to make a video with the EWGF motion, with hands on. But I will do it when I get the game.

Getting more and more consistent with these things, definitely a huge ego boost that pushes me to keep practicing it. Canceling into them is still hard, but i’m getting s.fierce xx EWGF about 8/10. I’m dying to get consistent with c.MK xx EWGF :3

Cr.MK xx EWGF doesn’t feel that hard to me. From DB + MK, I go DB, D, DF, F, N, D, DF. Keyboard notation would be 1236523. It’s pretty much sliding along the bottom of the gate to DF and doing a loop-de-loop back to DF. There’s also the DF, N, D, DF (3523) mentioned in the shortcuts thread that works well too.
