Uh… what about Q-Bomb…
I wish it was safer on block with faster recovery. Hopefully its damage didn’t get nerfed.
Did El Fuerte’s back run into a wall glitch get fixed? So I can finally cancel and not get punished. Also did any of his moves get more stun?
There are still some moves we don’t know have dmg/stun info for, like Tostada Press & Quesadilla Bomb.
If the back run into wall glitch and guac trades are fixed, I will be a happy, happy man.
i doubt they fixed any of his glitches or gay trades. they didn’t even fix sagat’s corner ultra glitch. i might be wrong, but if i were a bettin’ man…
However they did fix Vegas wall glitch, so who knows?
Honestly, I’m looking at Guy, and part of me thinks some fuertes will be moving to him…
for some reason he doesnt interest me in any way! ill be playin elf and mak for super
Not surprised - he has better footsies and obviously better combos than Fuerte (well, almost anyone in the cast has better combos than Fuerte).
He’s not as fast or as mobile as Fuerte though. Fuerte also has better mix-up games than him (not sure though since no one’s dig to deeply into Guy’s potential yet).
I was thinking about switching to Guy until I saw Fuerte’s ultra 2. That ultra 2 sealed the deal that I’m going to be playing Fuerte for keeps in Super.
My sub will be Guy and Makoto though.
Who are you guys going to sub in Super if you decide to still main Fuerte?
I used to be interested in Guy, but once I saw vids of him, he seemed too slow. I will stick to Fuerte as my main, and thinking of Makoto as my second.
I was looking at Adon (my boy from Alpha) at first, but then Hakan came and I jumped on that hype train. But the more video I see of Adon the more I’m thinking I’ll be playing him as a secondary instead of Hakan. I dunno. Too early. Need some stick time to know for sure.

Bunch of videos from here - one thing worth noting regarding Fuerte’s ultra 2: your opponent will try to bait you to use that shit.
If you try to use it naked without setups, your opponent’s going to jump that shit any day any time.
Much better to use it as a deterrent for footsies and rush-ins as well as punishing whiffs/blocks.
Anti air wise, ultra 1 is still the superior choice against opponents who cannot change trajectory in the air (Dawgtanian’s so right about this one).
And regarding Guy - like Ibuki, he can also combo ultra into his chain combo.
Speaking of ultra 1, does anyone know if there are any changes to it in Super?
I think Dawgtanian nailed the description for ultra 2, it is awesome as long as your reaction is good too. And as Arde mentioned, it needs to be setup to not fall for baits. I like the sound of that, Fuerte is all about mind games, so ultra 2 fits his playstyle well and gives him a good defensive option as well.
From the looks of it, I’ll be subbing Juri and maybe Ibuki as well. However, I’m going to give everyone a run in Arcade Mode to see.
Another video against Honda:
Not much to add here, still not sure if the spark can punish blocked headbutts, but giga buster was already very useful in this matchup so it might still be the ultra of choice here.
If Honda lands in half a screen or less, then yeah, ultra spark would punish it with no problem.

Some Fuerte training - ultra spark as an anti air has pretty tight timing.
It just looks like you do it after the apex of their jump whereas giga buster you had to do at the apex. Could be wrong though.
It’s nice seeing them try a set up in cl.hk>spark, although I knew it wouldnt work. I’m still hoping someone tests aa cr.hp>spark
Just like Flying Giga Buster, can’t wait to familiarize myself with the new timings. =D
