LOL…that’s true, he’s better than Dan in SF4. in SSF4? well, that’s up in the air.
and it hasn’t exactly moved him up the ranks in SF4. look, i’m just going by the soon to be past performance and the generally conservative changes in SSF4. the changes aren’t going to be as sweeping as some may think.
As I’ve mentioned before, maybe the minor changes, or just lack of them in some areas, may have been necessary because he may have been too good to deal with if he was put into SSFIV with the RSF intact as it is.
At the very least, I know now that I don’t have to worry too much for mastering RSF. Come to think of it, this buffed Guacamole might give him an upper hand in matchups like Juri.
@mr_punk: Not to mention that Mr.Ono said in one interview that he already liked the balance created in SF4, so I don’t think the developers want to change it too much.
I honestly hope RSF remains intact without furthur nerfs other than stun (which is already bad enough of a nerf imo). Some mentioned that it is harder to do more hits now, but were unsure. I hope they were just imagining things T_T
EDIT: only one month away!!! the wait is almost over I guess
My biggest worry out of all the new cast is Hakan - his anti air ultra is going to really gimp Fuerte like how Fuerte’s ultra 2 gimps a lot of the cast.
Things I wonder about regarding the Hakan matchup: Is safe tortilla going to avoid his ultra 2 on wake up? Can Fuerte play runaway and turtle effectively in this match, or can Hakan catch him easily? And does the spark work against a blocked Hakan slide? Of course no one knows, let the super theory fighter 4 begin!! lol
sure. although, i’m sure Guile players would disagree. in any event, i think if anyone is playing a low tiered character in SF4. generally, outside of a few exceptions, i wouldn’t expect my character to significantly go up in the tier list.
The tortillia nerf is one of the most meaningless nerfs I’ve seen.
If there’s something that’s worth nerfing about it it’d be it’s insanely large hitbox.
Nerfing the damage won’t really change much imo since there’s still not much most characters can do about it on wakeup, so it’s still going to be used in the same way.
Looks like safe tortilla can make her wake up Wheel Kick whiff, that’s a free Ultra no matter what.
Now I can’t decide if I’ll be farming two Ultra Sparks a round or if I’ll always save my bar for a full damage one. If two half Ultras add up to more damage than one full Ultra, I’d rather have 2 I think.
Rsf stun nerf. Meh. I’m more interested in damage. Besides. We all rsf and then go to block string mixups to bait something to rsf again.
Granted. Given the scarcity of opportunities to land rsf in high level matches… We’ll see.
Guac damage is useless due to guac trades vs specific trade characters.
For tortilla: stop complaining. I admit. It is my main source of damage. But given it’s uses and it’s hitbox like Skatan said ( hey Skatan :D) and it’s safe uses. No biggie. It’s applications are still there.
The more i think about the RSF stun nerf, the more im ok with it.
Since FA’s are faster, we could potentially be landing a lot more RSF’s. With the insane stun thats already on it, this mechanic could make it retarded levels of strong. It makes sense when you think about the fact that they have changed a general game mechanic in fuerte’s favour, so a small nerf, based on that alone, is a bit more justified.
Personally i wouldve liked to see fajita in on that damage buff along with guac, but meh. Im not UNHAPPY.
